Forbidden Forest

I passed out for two days, that's what the maid told me. She was appointed to babysit me. Change my clothes and take care of other things. Thankfully, she's half-human. So she doesn't crave for blood.

Speaking of which, God, I need to go back. I wonder how my family reacts to my disappearance. I'm sure as hell mom would have reported me to the police. What should I say after I go back?

After change my clothes, I walk out of my chamber for the first time. This is not a bungalow house or something. Damn, this is a freaking castle. I can't believe my own eyes. And trust me, I was mesmerized by its beauty. From the floor I'm standing at, I can see a waterfall opposite of me. The castle was surrounded by the forest.

While walking alone, I lost my way. Shit, where the hell I am? Looking around, I accidentally enter into one room. There were many paintings all around the wall. Everything is about vampires, wars, blood, crucifixes and lastly, I saw a girl's painting. She looked very beautiful. Fair skin, pink cheeks, wavy long hair, perfect smile and... she's very beautiful.

I heard someone's footsteps. Quickly I hid under the table. Drake is the one who enters the room. I sneak out to see his action. He walks to the girl's painting and stares it for a moment.

''what are you doing here, Jacintha'', I shocked with his sudden greetings or more to warn. I hit myself on the table.

''oucchh...'', I groan while rubbing my head. Drake suddenly appears before me. Standing up, I fake a smile. ''I... I.... l....lost...'', I stammered. He was staring at me seriously. ''I need to go back. My mother would be worried about me'', I told him.

'' doesn't mean that you can trespass other's private room'', he replied.

''See... I'm sorry... I'm not interested in your personal lives. Trust me, I know someday I will die in your hands. So I won't invade your personal lives while shortening my life age'', I shrugged.

Suddenly Drake's expression changed. He was looking at me but I feel like he's not looking at me. Like he's seeing something in his head.

''He's here''

''who?'', I puzzled.

His eyes turned towards me.

''come'', he instructed or more to order.

When I was following Drake from behind, he suddenly stopped, make me hit him.

''What happens?''

''Yo Quinny'', someone called him. I saw one guy approaching Drake while smiling widely. ''I miss you bro'', he hugged him. His eyes turned towards me. ''who's this?'', he asked.

''None of your business, Rufus'', Drake replied rudely.

''Oucch... I'm hurt'', Rufus grabs his chest; faking his expression.

''Hi Rufus'', Venus was running towards Rufus excitedly. Suddenly she punched him at where Rufus was thrown out from the floor. He was groaning on the ground.

''t...that was a good welcome'', he smiled painfully.

''Indeed baby'', Venus quickly jump beside him and grabbed Rufus's shirt. ''get the hell out from here. Because of your fake news, Master Drake was nearly killed!'', she punches him again.

''H...H...ey... s..stop... I..don't know myself... I...''

''Shut up, Rufus. You are lucky that you are Master Drake's brother'', Petra looked pissed off.

So, he's Drake's brother...

''Lord Drake'', one woman was running towards Drake while crying. ''My daughter enters the forbidden forest...'', she cried.

''Shit, can't you take care of your own daughter!!'', Petra looked angry. ''Let her die there'', she simply said.

Damn, she's heartless....

''everyone enter inside'', Drake ordered.

One shield was formed around the castle.

''Send her back'', he instructed Arthur. 

''Hmmm... what is forbidden forest?'', I asked Arthur when we were walking together.

''Once there was a powerful witch, not female but male witch. His name is Reuben Youngblood. To possess an immortal life, he sacrifices thousands of babies and eat their heart and brain'', his story makes me feel disgusted.

''God, how can someone... do such horrific things?'', I asked disgustingly. ''Poor babies''

''hmmm... yeah. What to do. Some people always like this''

''then, what happens to him?''

'' To rule this world alone, he tried to summon, Dashiel Angelsin, the God of Darkness. But before he could revive him, all the vampires' clans reconcile together and put him down. He changed himself into the spirit but Jay's father seal him at the forbidden forest'', he smiled. ''but Drake's enemy tried to release the seal but somehow we manage to stop them. The problem is, the seal was loosened up. That's why Drake locked the whole forest which is at the left-wing of the castle'', he sighed.

''What happens if someone enters the forest?''

''It is difficult to survive in that forest. There are many demons and spirits who are waiting for prey. Either to possess them or to eat them. Still, Master Drake always found a way to bring them back together safely'', he smiled.

''hmm... he's going inside alone? Will he be saved?''

Arthur turned to see me and smile. ''seems like you don't hate him like his previous human feed''

''what happened to Drake's previous.... Servants?''

''hmmm.... You know right. You guys have privileges to have three wishes for you when being Master Drake's servant. Some girls get greedy and they wanted to be immortal. Some wish to marry Master Drake, to mate with him, to make him their servant and many more. Also some girls trying to betray him by listening to the enemies' words. Any wishes that oppose to Master Drake will automatically break the deal and they will have to die painfully''

''But vampires can drink bloods unlimited right? Why Drake have to make a deal?''

Arthur suddenly gets silent.

''why?''

''It was.... His curse. He is not allowed to drink others' blood except a girl that he makes a contract with'', he stated. ''in case if you want to ask me why he had that curse, I'm afraid that I can't tell more, Jacintha. I've already told more stories that I should have never talked'', he added.

''My mother probably worrying about me to death'', I sighed.

''don't worry. We send your doppelganger to your house. It has all your abilities and it will act just like you. No one will suspect anything. We won't take any risk for the outsiders to not about us''

''Oh... thank God... if I go back, my doppelganger will disappear right?''

''yes''

''Jacintha'', someone whispers my name. I turn back but no one is there.

''What happens?'', Arthur asked me.

''h....huh... I thought....'', the place was covered with fog. I see around. ''Arthur?'', I called his name but there's no response. ''Arthur'', I walk forward.

What the hell is happening around me?
