It was fine, everything was just fine but things never lasts forever. It was a sunny day in Daybreak town and you had just returned from a mission.
"Y/N!"
You turned and saw your friend, Ephemer.
"Hey Ephie, how're doing?"
"Will you ever stop calling me that?"
"Nope"
He sighed annoyed and continue "I'm fine by the way, but I'm kind of worried..."
"...'Bout what?"
"About you dumbass, why did you refuse to enter the dandelions and fight the coming war??"
You took a deep breath and sigh "I've already told you Eph, it just feels wrong to me to abandon everyone else here to fight, all the friend who weren't picked we've made, to die in a useless and cruel war. And beside why in the first place there will be this fucking goddamned war?!"
By the time you have finished your speech you were basicly yelling and this spooked and made worry more your white-haired friend, not used to you losing your usually calm temper.
You were the quiet and calm type of person, a bit shy and not really talkactive with people you didn't know, yet you find easy making friend, most likely because you had an excellent friend-radar to know who you should befriend and who you shouldn't.
You looked at Ephemer, saw his worried/spooked expression and instatly apologize. Lately it was extremly easy to lose your temper and raise your voice due to all the stress that was in the air since the war will soon happen, you could feel it. All the hate between the unions and the greed for lux, it was suffocating.
Ephemer saw your visible distress and thought of something to make you forget about the recent events and lighten your mood.
"Why don't we go find Skuld and eat something?"
"Ok, it sounds good to me"
~Time skip~
The three of you were sitting at the fountain eating a sea-salt ice cream and it was getting late.
After finishing the ice treat you said goodbye to your friends and went home.
Entering your room all the events of the day and the worries and bad thoughts came back to your mind. You were tired, so tired and a little spirit puff themselves near your body, which was by now on the floor, sitting with your back against the door.
"Rough day, uh?"
"Yeah, let's not talk about it" you said with now your head in your hands.
"Well, atleast Ephemer and Skuld had cheering you up for a short amount of time, even though is not enough..." Chirithy's face fell a little thinking about all recent events that will soon lead to war.
"Maybe yo..."
"No, Chir, I can't..."
"You sure? The two of you haven't seen each other for a while"
"I know, but I'm not sure Lauriam will let me go near Streli after last time."
"Y/n, you conviced her to do a paint-balloon fight, I would be surprise if he did the opposite..."
"Ah-ah really funny... mh maybe tomorrow I'll go look for her... well night-night annoying excuse-of-a-cat."
"Goodnight reckless moron"
