Chapter IV

Your pov

I opened my eyes only to find myself lying on an unfamiliar bed?
How did I ended here?
I was in the Final World and then I... fainted, fantastic...
I tried to sit up but my head thought otherwise as a sore headache kept me from getting up. I groaned and I think I was a bit loud, because as soon as I groaned footsteps would be heard getting nearer. The door of the unfamiliar room opened revealing two familiar faces.

"Y/n're awake! We've thought you had died for one sec..."

"Ephemer... Skuld..."

I had tears threatened to fall from your now glossy eyes.
I couldn't believed it, they were alive, but mostly I were alive.

"You're... I'm... I..." I had now busted into tears. I finally let all out, all the pain and exhaustion from the past events. Both Ephemer and Skuld run to me and embraced me, they were crying too. While three of us were hugging and crying, other three figures came into the room: one familiar pink-haired male and two unknown faces.

"Lauriam..." I whispered after calming down my cries, noticing the new people in the room.

"How..." he looked shocked, like he had just seen a ghost.

"They shouldn't be alive..." the unknown one with dark hair and a hat said.

"They should have died in the war. Yet there they are still breathing, this is strange"

"Uh? Who are you?"

"*sigh* I'm Brain"

"I'm-" "Y/n, I know. Ephemer, Lauriam and Skuld had already told me and Ven about you"

"Ven?"

"Yup, that's me. My name's actually Ventus, but most people call me Ven, nice to meet you, Y/n" said the blond near Brain.

"The pleasure is mine, Ven. But how did I ended here?"

"Well..."

~flaskback~

Ephemer pov

The war been over for a while and me and Skuld are waiting for the other new union leaders to come. (None of them knows about Y/n "little" darkness outbust). I sigh thinking about the war. Y/n was in there and had probably died there because of others. They didn't deserve any of this. It was just... unfair.

"Ephemer, are you alright? You seem a little down"

"Yeah, just thinking about... Y/n..."

She looks down with sadness in her eyes. She was feeling bad too. I know she misses them too. But we shouldn't watch back at the memories with sadness, instead we should be happy they happened. Even if it's hard to move on we should try, for them and the other victims of the war, to connect the light to the future. Hope the other union leaders come here soon.

~time skip~

"So, now that we're all here we should probably get going and begin to do our jobs" Brain said.

"Yeah, we shouldn't stay here to long, you already enough here because of me arriving late" replied Lauriam.

We were going to go away from the battleground but Ven interrupted us

"Hey, there's someone there! Maybe we should check it out? See if they're ok?"

It was true, there actually was someone there lying on the ground.
We run to the misterious person, who was actually very familiar...

"Y/n!"

Skuld and Lauriam look shocked at the person lying on the ground, unconsious.
I checked their vitals and they're still breathing, thank goodness!

"They're alive, they're just unconsious"

With that both Skuld and Lauriam sigh in relief.

"We should probably take them to a safe place, it's not safe here, especially in they're condition" Ven suggested.

We all agreed, even if Brain was a bit skeptical about it.

~back to the present~

"And then we have brought you here. I'm so glad you're ok, Y/n"
I finished tell them the story. They give me a sad smile.

Your pov

After Ephemer finished speaking I give him a sad smile.

"Now, it's your turn to tell a story, Y/n.
You have fought the war, right?"

I nod at Brain's question and he carries on.

"Then, how you are alive? You should be dead"

I sigh, I knew someone would have asked that! Maybe I shouldn't say anything about the voices, the dark wave that came from me and the Final World...

"I... don't know actually, one minute I'm fighing and stabbed to death and the other here I am, lying on this bed in here with you guys. I'm just as confuse as you are, believe me"

Well, technically it's not even a lie! 'Cause seriously I'm actually confuse in what the fuck happened to me, so I'm just not saying all the truth!
Brain seems satisfied with me anwser, even if I suspect that he sospects something...

"We should let them rest, even after sleeping for three days you're still a bit pale, Y/n" Lauriam pointed out.

"W-wait, I was out for three days?!?!"

I'm fucking shocked, like I've been out for so long?? What the fuck!!

"Yeah, we were worry you would never waked up..." said Ven with a sad little face. (OMG, he's so adorable like a little puppy ♡w♡, so sad he may be the one who killed Strelitzia T_T, but probably he didn't do it consciously so!)

"Okay, we let Y/n rest.~ Bye Y/n and good night~"

After that they all went out of the room leaving me alone.

Brain pov

Something's off about them, really off. I'll find out what it is. They can't keep it a secret forever, sooner or later the truth will come out and I'll be the one discovering it.
