Hi! Just a little side note for the readers. Everything about the soulmate marks is in the bio so you might want to read it before you continue! Thank you! Hope you enjoy!(Kirishima pov)
I was walking home from school. It's my 16th birthday and my soulmate mark still won't develope. I may just go see a doctor. I don't think this is normal. I stopped at the driveway to my house knowing that there was a crowd of people waiting inside to jump out and congratulate my failure of a birthday. The only word I could partly make out was "The" written in black across my hip. I hesitantly lifted my shirt and ran my finger across the mark. "Tomorrow's another day" I murmured putting my shirt back to its original place and stepping inside."SUPRISE!!!"
How did I guess. I tried to muster up a suprised look to be nice but half of the people I don't even know. I managed to smile. "Aw, thanks guys! You didn't have to! I received hugs and awaited the dreaded question.
My younger cousin came up to me with a suspicious grin "What does your soulmate mark say?" My smile immediately faded. "I'm not sure. It's not developed yet!" I let out a hesitant chuckle. "I can't wait to see what mine says!" The kid says while balling up his fist and smiling. I laughed. Me too kid. Me too.

I closed my laptop with a sigh. the chances of me making it into the school are very slim. I changed into some different clothes, spiked my hair and trudged down the stairs to tell my mom. She has been nagging me for weeks to take some kind of opportunity with dancing. I mean, yes, I love it. But it's more of an outlet then a hobby. I prefer to be self taught in the things I do instead of being helped along. I think it's just manlier that way, but I guess not trying isn't manly either so, why not? I saw my mom setting the table, getting everything ready for breakfast. "Hey Mom. So uh...I applied for MDA. She widened her eyes in skock, dropped the plates causing two of them to shatter. She seemed way to shocked for my liking. The moment I opened my mouth to knock her out of her shocked state, She grabbed onto my shoulder, pulling me into a huge bear hug. Squealing her head off, she shook me around.
"Okay okay. God mom that's my ear." In response she gripped harder causing me to wheeze. "M-m-ah- I c-an-t br-e--" she finally let me go and started squealing with a death grip on my shoulders. "AIKO GET IN HERE!" she said jumping up and down like a kid on Christmas. My dad walked out of his room like a zombie with a hand on his forehead. "Honey it's 6 am can't this wa--" before he could finish his sentence he was interupted by a series of my mom's squeals. "OUR SON APPLIED TO MDA!!!" his eyes widened a bit and he slid his hand off of his forehead while he walked over and gave me a pat on the back. "Nice going kid! I knew you could." He said as he made his way past me, giving me a sincere smile. "W-w-w-w-wait. Hold up. I don't even know that I got in. I don't get my acceptance letter until next Sunday." I objected, not knowing how to react to the amount of shock going on. "Besides, It's just a school."
"Honey that's not the important part." She said in a motherly tone. Oh God I sense a lecture. "The important part is that you are finally looking for something that you love. I know for the past couple years you have been worried about your mark but it all comes in good time. Who knows, Maybe the person is special. There is nothing wrong with you. Your perfectly healthy. The universe just has a mind of its own." With that she let her grasp on my shoulder gently loosen and continued setting the table.

That night at midnight my hip started throbbing, making me hunch into a ball in my sleep. When I awoke, I was drenched in a pool of my own sweat. I grabbed my hip and it felt like fire. Screaming in pain, I lifted my shirt, watching the black smears form into clear letters. It's finally happening. I let out another scream, my mom bursting through the door only to see me balled up on my bed screaming. She rushed over and put her hand on my back and on my leg. "What's wrong?!" She asked. "H-h-h-i--" I screamed with the rythm of the throbbing in my hip. "WHAT IS HAPPENING!!?" She screamed.
"HIP!" I choked out between screams. Tears were streaming down my face like bullets. What the hell is happening to me?!

Hi, it's the author here. Nobody is probably gonna read this but I'm going to try my best to keep up with it. I have a lot of stuff going on right now with school and sports so I probably won't have have a consistant upload schedule for a few chapters. Sorry about that. I will be sure to post updates about the chapters though. Like what's going on and the day that they will most likely be uploaded, it's just really hard to get some writing in with all this other stuff but it's fine because I'm actually proud of this chapter so. Thanks for reading! See you in chapter 2! Love y'all and Douces!
(This chapter was revised. Overall, there wasn't much that needed to be changed so it was kind of easy. Onto the crappy ones. Pray for me.)
