浪人
a ronin ("drifter" or "wanderer") is a samurai without a lord or master. A samurai becomes masterless upon the death of their master, or after the loss of their master's favor or privilege. as of now, ronin are viewed as dangerous, as threats to the shogunate, and are usually expelled from cities upon the loss of their daimyo. they are also prohibited from serving new masters.
