this roleplay is historical fiction. this means that it takes place in a very real time period—the edo era of medieval japan. the time of samurai, daimyo, and ronin. the birthplace of ukiyo e and kabuki theatre.
it is important to note that, unless otherwise noted, the characters involved will be mostly fictional. the events that impact them, however, may be real events. this includes battles, sieges, power struggles, and other thematic elements. proceed with caution.
if you plan on participating in this roleplay, please try to stick to the time period, the country, and the values they held. it starts around the mid-1600's, and flows until the mid 1800's, so please be mindful of these constraints, so that the story is more immersive. our story will begin in the Battle of Sekigahara, in 1600. more information will be provided in the first chapter.
