Chapter 3 : Carrots day festival

It was the day before the Carrot day festival and Nick and Judy where talking in one of there classes about the Carrot day festival that was happening tomorrow and Judy was going to pick up, show him around town and go to the festival.

The next day

It was Saturday and Judy woke up and got ready to go get Nick and tell her parents what she was going to do.

Walking into the kitchen Judy sees her mother making breakfast for her little brothers and sisters and said "Good morning mom, I'm going to be out with a new friend that I meet at school and show him around town and we stop by the festival." And Bonnie nodded her head and told Judy to be careful.

Nick was sleeping in bed and it was the day that Judy was going to show him around town and the festival that was happening. He looked at his alarm clock and it read 9:00 am and he jumped out of bed and got dressed and walked to the kitchen and his mom was making some pancakes "Good morning mom what are you going to do today?" And sat down at the table.

"I'm going down to the bakery and make some cupcakes and some famous Wilde fudge and are you going to be helping me with some of that?" As Nicole placed the plat on the table with some blueberry pancakes and the syrup. "Sorry but no I have a friend for school showing me around school and the festival that is happening in town." And Nick grabs some pancakes and start to eat them before Judy got to the bakery.

By time Nick was done eating has breakfast Judy had already arrived at the bakery and was looking at the pastries that where inside the shop and did not see Nick walk down and and walk up to her behind the counter "can I help you ma'am?" And the look on Judy's eyes was amazed at all the pasty treats the where out "yes, can I have a Wilde pie and some famous Wilde fudge please" and as Nick was getting the treats for Judy the had no clue that it was Nick and handed it to her and ask "are we going to get going Carrots" and looked at Nick and jest stared at him and finally nodded her head looking away blushing a little bite and Nick did see that and did not want to make her mad and not be friends with him.

The first stop was the the arcade place there in town "I would go to this place with my brothers and sisters but they like the farm more then this place so I stay there" Judy told Nick as they were looking at to small place "well if you what I can play with you here instead. Unless you have work to do at your family farm." "Ya I have a little bit of work that I do there at the farm." And so the two played some arcade games and after there last game Nick and Judy went to a ice-cream shop that Judy takes some of her little brothers and sisters too have some soft served carrot ice-cream.

Once Judy walk in the ice-cream shop there was a ice-cream already made for her by the shop keeper. Judy asked the shop keeper if her friend can get what ever he wants and put it on her tab. Nick looks at all the ice-cream flavors and then sees one that he loves "can I have the fox-tracks on a cone please." "Sure, is there any other thing you would like?" And both Judy and Nick said no and sat at a table by the window by that time it was 1:00pm and the festival was starting in one hour.

So they both talk for the time being and found out Nick was looking for a job and Judy told him that her dad was looking for more farm hands to help him in the fields and around the house. Nick nodded his head at that "I will look in to that." "Ok I wanted to let you now about that and we can hang out on your brakes." Nick looked at the time and it was 1:45pm and looked back to Judy " it is getting close to two o'clock would we head to the festival?" "Ya we should get moving that way it is in one of my family field this year." So they got up Judy payed for the ice-cream and the two were off the to carrot day festival.

It was around 2:15 when the two made it to the festival and parked and walked to the entrance and ran into Judy's parents how just got there them selfs and looked at the fox standing by Judy "How the fox with you Jude?" So Nick and Judy walk to her parents and Nick interest him self to them "I'm Nick Wilde and you must be mr. and ms. Hopps?" "Yes and you are the one that Judy is showing around town. I mean I have not seen you in town but where does your parents work at then I would know the last name. "Stu said to Nick as the four where walking around in the festival "well my dad died when I was three and my mom runs Baked Wilde's Pastry's in town Mr. Hopps. She should be here trying to sell some pastry treats if I do not know if she made it here." "Well let us look to see if she is here."

So the four walked around and found a stand the his mother was at with all different types of treats from cupcakes to Wilde fudge. Right as Nicole seen Nick and all the bunnies walking with him she had to think that one of them was showing Nick around town. So once the four of them walked up to the stand she asked " witch one of you showed Nick around town?" And Judy told her that she did and Nick mother thanked there and asked what her parents do for work here in Bunny Burrows "well both my parents are Carrot farmers and help out at my school and sometimes help out small business."

"so would you help me out with some fruit for my pastry treats? I can give you 5% of what I make for the product." "That sounds like a good deal to me, what about you Bon bon is it good to you?" Stu said and looked to Bonnie "ya that is a good deal. I can bring over contract paperwork to your shop tomorrow. If that is good with you" " that is good with me jest stop by around noon and I will be free and look at some of the treats I do" Mis. Wilde to Bonnie and Stu.

Cense the three parents where talking to each other Nick and Judy walked around the festival to see what was going on and Judy ran into her family stand that was being run by her brother and sisters. So they stoped and talked with them for a little bit and walked to the barn to watch the play that some of the kits have put together.

As the festival was close Nick and Judy sitting on the tail gate of Judy's truck talking. "I had fun day. I hope we can hangout again sometime" Judy said to try start a conversation with Nick. "Are there any movie theaters in Bunny Burrows and if there are, would you like to go see a movie with me?" Nick asked Judy in a attempted to keep there friendship going and trying to ask her out on a date. "I would like that and there is no theater in town but my parents have theater in there house that we can use if that is good with you?" "That is fine what kind of movies do you have that was can watch?" "we get all different kinds of movies. We can watch any one that you want to watch."

So Nick and Judy got in the truck and were off to Nick's house to drop him off for the day. As Judy stoped at Nick's house she looked at him. "Have a good night Nick" "you have good nigh too Carrots" and after that Judy drove home.
