confession ~ taehyung

'Are you free later today? I want get some milkshakes' you read Taehyungs text as it appeared on the convo. You let out a low shaky breath before replying with 'sure, when and where?'

You let yourself flop onto your bed waiting for a response until a couple of moments your phone dinged. You quickly went to see his reply to see that he responded with 'in 15, i'll pick you up'. You quickly responded with a simple okay before getting up to get ready.

You had placed on a white short sleeve turtle neck shirt with a plaid skirt and a brown beret paired with a jean jacket. You let your hair fall down to its natural h/s (hair style). Your apartment doorbell rang signalling that Tae had arrived.

You quickly put on some combat boots and opened the door to see Taehyung wearing a simple outfit having his newly blue dyed hair look messed up yet neat.

"Shall we go?" Tae asked with his big boxy smile. You nodded with a small tight smile and you two got inside his car before he drove off.

"Why did you want to hang out all of a sudden?" You asked 5 minutes into the drive.

"I don't know, I craved a milk shake and I wanted to spend more time with you since I've been so caught up with work" he stated honestly debating whether or not to look at you but decided not to.

"Yeah, we haven't seen each other in almost three months" you said quietly a bit upset but you understood that this is what he loved so you never bothered him about it.

He apologized for not have seen you sooner. You reassured him by lying saying it was not a big deal.

"We're here" he announced as he parked into your favorite ice cream store.

You two ordered your usual and went to sit down at a booth near a window while waiting for the shakes. He sat in front of you seeming to look deeply observing you as you looked down fiddling with your fingers.

"I really am sorry for not being more in touch with you" he apologized again feeling guilty as if it had been all his fault.

"I told you, it's not that big of a deal" you reassured him again looking up towards him. "Besides I know that you enjoy doing this, I don't want to take something you love away from you just so I can spend time with you"

He smiled softly at your last statement seeming to fall for you. His feelings rushing back as he had missed how you acted so kindly and understood him in almost every way. You smiled back naturally as his smile was so contagious.

The shakes were delivered and you two took a quick sip before you said "so how is everyone doing, any new album plans?"

"Well, everyone is doing fine. We've been thinking about releasing one later this year actually" he started talking about the ideas the band had while you took sips from your drink every once and a while. After he had finally finished he had realized that he had been talking for so long taking a deep breath and saying "sorry, for such a long speech"

"It's fine, I love it when you rant about something you're so passionate about" you twirled the straw from the shake with a warm smile.

"So, how are you doing?"

"Well, I've been good nothing much has changed" you said with a tight smile. Curiosity was itching at him for a couple of moments before blurting out

"Have you been seeing anyone?"

"No?" You said in more of questioning tone wondering why he would ask that so randomly. You were about to ask why until he stood up and said

"Let's get you home it's almost 10"

"Okay" you simply replied still seeming confused.

The ride back was a bit quiet and awkward as the two of you didn't say a word to each other. He parked and you were about to head back to the building when he suddenly softly grabbed your wrist stopping you from walking away.

"Is something wrong?" You asked and turned towards him giving him your full attention.

"I want to confess" he breathed out before saying slowly "I like you and I always have since I've met you"

You sat silent and without saying anything you quickly leaned in making your lips meet his soft ones. He was a bit shocked but followed and took a bit of control.

His hands landed on your waist as yours were resting on his neck going up to his hair slightly caressing it.

You two pulled back panting heavily as it had lasted for a bit longer than a minute.

"I uh" you paused hesitating before quickly saying "like you too"

You headed out the car door with a huge smile while walking to your apartment. While driving back he couldn't stop thinking about the way you lead for the first couple of seconds into the kiss. The way the two pair of lips moved in sync naturally felt so unreal to the both of y'all.
