I'd always loved rainy days, they gave me time to just relax. 

I'm currently in the art room in me and Shawns apartment, wearing shorts and one of Shawns old t-shirts. I'd decided to paint a city, I don't know what inspired me, I guess I just felt like it. 

Shawn was currently in the music room, working on a new song. I could hear the faint sound of his guitar, probably because he left the door open.  I didn't mind though, it was calming for me. 

I continued painting for a while before I heard Shawns footsteps and felt his presence behind me. "Hey," I murmured, working on a particularly large skyscraper.

"Hey," He whispered back, giving my a kiss on my shoulder and walking over to a chair a little bit away from me. 

Shawn loved to watch me paint, and after a long time of me feeling nervous under his gaze, I had grown used to it and began to enjoy it even. 

"Can I ask you something?" Shawn questions out of nowhere.

"Sure, anything. What is it?" I reply, setting down my paint brush and turning to look at him.

"Do you think we're gonna last?" He says, catching me of guard and causing my breath to hitch.

"W-what do you mean, Shawn? Are you saying you want us to break up?"

"No, I mean, do you think you're always going to love me? Because I love you. So much. You literally mean everything to me. I just, I know you're going far in life with your art and I'm scared that one day you're gonna realize you don't need me. But, I need you (Y/N), a-and I don't know what I'd do without you. I'm just- scared I guess. Do you love me (Y/N)?" He speaks, his voice cracking here and there, tears welling up in his eyes.

"Shawn, baby, what made you think that? Of course I love you. Forever and always, remember? And you're also going places in life with your music career, but I know that no matter what happens, we will always be there for each other. I see myself growing old with you Shawn. You don't have to worry about me falling out of love with you. I need you too Shawn." I reassure, walking over to him and placing my hands on his cheeks, wiping away some fallen tears. 

"I love you ,(Y/N)." He says, looking at me with such an intense stare it makes me blush. 

"And I love you, Shawn." I kiss him.

"Forever and always?" 

"Forever and always." 

"Good, now can we watch The Cat In The Hat? It's been too long!" He says, making me laugh. 

"Yes, Shawn. Of course." And with that, he runs down the hall, still as childish as ever.
