"I get that rook-," "If you call me rookie one more time I swear I will kill you in your sleep." "Ok ok I get it your not a rookie," replied Commander Knuckels as he put his hands up in surrender. " But seriously Infinite might be there, and you know how dangerous he is." "Yeah, Yeah I know but don't worry I got this, and besides just like you said he might be there. You never said he is there." "Just be careful (y/n), we are losing good people everyday because of him. We don't need to lose you too." "Don't worry Commander I'll be fine , and if it makes you feel better I'll be extra careful."
================================================================================ Timeskip At one of Eggman's bases

"I already regret this," muttered the (f/c) jackal as she crawled though the air vents.
"And here you said this will be easy, said Knuckels though (y/n) earpiece in your mask.
"Hey, don't use my words against me. I said it's easy not fun" (y/n) murmured . "Now shush I don't need you blowing my cover."
"Alright report back when the mission is completed and good luck ."
"Copy that commander and I don't need luck." As you went though the vents you finally made in into the control room where the information is kept. Luckly only a couple Badniks seem to be in the room. You gently jumped down and with your sword in hand you sneaked up behind them and with a couple of strikes they were down.
" So far so good, I just need to download the info and get out of here." You gracefully sat down in a chair and put a USB into the panel slot. As that was downloading you decided to go though the video camera's to make sure nobody sneaks up to you. But to your horror you see Infinite on his way to the room YOU were in. You quickly checked to see how far along it the download it is. It's at 83%.
"Crap, hurry up I really don't want to die today." Infinite was so close you could hear his footsteps.Now you really started to panic. "Ok, (y/n) calm down don't let fear control you. You were apart of the greatest mercenary group to ever exist. I will not fail." As the door was about to open the downloading was finished. In one quick motion you grabbed the USB and leaped into the air vents. As you closed the vent Infinite walked in. He quickly notice the destroyed robots and he was not happy.
"WHAT!?" You quickly but silently started to crawl to the exit. The alarms started to play and you could the Badniks and Infinite searching for you. You started to crawl faster, you finally made it to the exit. You jumped out and ran to the forest that masked the base. You will careful to hide from the look outs from the robots. You made it to the forest and contacted Knuckels. "Knucks, I have good news and I have some bad news. What do you want to hear first?"
"Uhhh the good news" he said unsure.
"Well uh I got the info, the bad news is it turns out you were right. Infinite is here and he is livid."
"Crap ok stay calm head to the pick up zone, I believe that Vector and Espio is waiting for you with the jet. Don't loose that info we need that."
"I feel like you are more worried about the info than me and that hurts man like a bullet to my heart."
"Sigh is now really the time to joke?"
"Gasp you didn't even deny it, and it's the perfect time to joke. If I die I want my last thing to say to be a joke or a insult."
"Just get to the pick up zone and don't die."
"Don't worry I won't."
"That doesn't make me feel better, stay safe."
"Copy that Commander, don't die and don't lose the info."
As you were running something flew past you, you looked up and you see Infinite hovering above you glaring down at you.
"So your the pest that broke in, I can assure you that's your last mistake. But be thankful I decided to make your death quick and painless."
"Gasp a pest? Ha if anything your pest around here, mask-face. Nobody likes you if fact they hate you. And why will I be thankful to the likes of you?"
"You think your so insulting ha so pathetic, and you can't call me mask-face. You have a mask yourself."
"So? I look fabulous in it. You just look horrifying."
"That they idea darling, I must be feared by all. It's so amusing to watch all of run for your pathetic little lives."
"I hate to break you bubble darling but I am not afraid you."
"Oh but you will be little one. You will feel fear, than pain ,and then...well the pain and fear will be gone."
And with that Infinite charged.
