Jason sat on the ledge, his feet dangling in front of him, staring at the entire view of Gotham city, like tiny shiny stars scattered over a black chart paper; only the Wayne Towers and few other skyscrapers stood apart. His palm slid into the pocket of his hoodie, he pulled out a box of cigarettes and a lighter; pulling out a stick and nipping it between his lips. Just then, the emergency exit behind him flung open and a blonde girl walked in; she did not look pleased.

"Damn you Jason! You don't even answer that junk you call a phone! And here you are, smoking a cigarette without me!" She huffed angrily, making her way to where he was sitting and abruptly pulling out the stick that was nipped in between his lips.

"Hey!!" he protested, on deaf ears. She had already stolen his lighter and lit the cigarette end, leaning against the ledge, while she stared at the horizon.

"What's up, Barbie?" Jason looked at her, his eyes narrowed slightly, his fingers already working on the cigarette box to pull out another one. "I've known you for years, and you know, that I can figure it out when something is bothering you," he said, coolly. "So, what's up?"

"Had an argument with my dad, he is just so protective of me, I can't

"Had an argument with my dad, he is just so protective of me, I can't." She mumbled, dryly, taking a drag of her cigarette.

"Why?"

"He won't let me go on a night out with my friends!"

"What?" Jason looked at her in disbelief for a few seconds, then he burst laughing, only to get hit in the rib by her elbow. "I thought something serious happened. You're such a drama queen, Barbara Lee Gordon," Jason was laughing so hard, he had tears in his eyes.

"Yeah, well. I want to go!" She pouted, looking down at the floor, with sadness in her eyes.

"Since when did you start going out with friends, other than me, huh?" he exclaimed. By that time, he had stopped laughing and was now looking at her with a jealous expression on his face, demandingly. Involuntarily, he placed the cigarette to his lips and took a drag of it.

"Female friends, Jason. Sorry, just female." She rolled her eyes cheekily, her sad eyes slowly turning normal and a smile breaking out over her lips, "Why though? Are you jealous?"

"You bet"

Jason had hopped off the ledge and made his way to where she was standing, pinning her to the ledge and had started tickling her sides.

"Stop!! Jason, it's not funny! It's so ticklish!! Ha ha ha," she chuckled, trying to fight him off but he was bigger than she was, and hard to tickle back.

That's when he stopped tickling her and she pushed her away with all her might, her face showing annoyance and his face plastered with a naughty grin, his eyes on hers, making her gaze slide to the side. Before she could comprehend, he had grabbed her palm and pulled her close, her golden locks falling all over her face and hiding her eyes. She felt his cold fingers slide across her face, removing the strand s of hair sticking to it. She let out a tiny gasp and started squirming, trying to pull out of his embrace.
