I always felt like I was unwanted.

My father had died before I was born so I didn't even know what he looked like. My mother I knew for only a second until her whole body stumbled with exhaustion and fell, never to regain consciousness.

I had just been born, bearly connecting with her but as soon as she fell I felt my heart crumble with agony, feeling like I had just lost something that I could never regain again.

I looked around to see if anyone could help but there was no one to be seen.

I was in a meadow, the emerald green grass shadowed over me, and the sun beamed it's harsh rays over into my direction. Even if I wanted help I couldn't say anything.

*Howl*

I howled at the top of my lungs making as much noise as I could.

Please help somebody, anybody!!

Tears rolled down my terrified face. I didn't know what was going on but I had a feeling it wasn't right.

"What's all this noise?" Asked a gentle silky voice.

I sprinted behind my mother's motionless body hoping I wouldn't be seen by this pokemon.

As I hid I saw a mother pokemon emerge through the soft tapping grass with two younger versions of her, both biting each other until one of them squealed and released their fangs.

"Oh dear me!!! Poor pokemon died through child birth........ Wait!!! Where's the child?" Gasped the pokemon with a distraught look on her face.

"Mum leave it." Said one of the children.

"Yeah let's go I'm hungry." Whined the other licking it's paw.

"How dare you say that both of you!! Now go home I'll be there in a minute."

"Whatever." They both called.

As they disappeared the mother came closer to my mum inspecting her body like it was a piece of meat ready to be eaten.

Don't come any closer!  I thought.

Then suddenly I felt a pair of gleaming eyes on the back of my neck.

Uh-oh

"Hello dearie, are you ok?" Quietly asked the pokemon.

I backed away until I was up against a tree. I felt my breathing increase and my heart felt like it was in my mouth.

"Don't worry honey everything is fine, your safe now." She hushed with soft tender eyes. Her paw reached out and patted me gently on the back. I shuddered not knowing what contact felt like.

"Come on baby, I'll take care of you."

I pushed past het paw and fell onto my real mum with silent tears dripping from my tired eyes.

"I know how you feel. Now let's go I am your mother now and I always will be."

For a strange reason I trusted her. She felt like she knew exactly what I was going through.

I reluctantly followed her leaving my only real mother behind.

I won't let anything happen like this again I vowed to myself brushing the tears from my eyes.

This is my life now.
