I don’t exactly know for how long I had run for but I knew I had put enough distance between the school when I found myself in the park. The gate made a loud noise that echoed throughout the park as I threw it open and stormed to my bench. I don’t think anyone was around but at the moment I really couldn’t care less. Everything was focused on the bench. My bench. My only true comfort throughout my life. I brought my knees up to my chest and hid my face. The darkness felt comforting for some reason. Being alone. That’s all I really needed right now. To be alone.
Tears trickled down my chin and they wouldn’t stop. Andrew was there. The one and only infamous Andrew. He hadn’t changed a bit from that time…

“Aw, Andrew! Thank you soooo much for taking me to my first parteh!”
“Isss coolll, babe. Lesss goo.”
“Alright!”
……
“Andrew! ANDREW! WATCH OUT!”
*************
Echoed screams from the past sent chills down my spine. I hugged myself trying to calm the shaking. My eyes felt heavy I think everything is starting to get to me. I curl up on my side into a little ball. The overpowering smell of lavender filled the air. The sun was poking through the clouds and seemed as if it was just shining down on this area alone. The eerie howl of the wind was calming in a way. After awhile of drifting in and out, I finally let sleep overcome me.
“Kara? Is that you? Kara wake up.”
Someone was shaking me. I mumbled something I didn’t even understand while pitifully slapping something hard. A chest maybe? Whatever…
“What? Kara, wake up! Or I’ll…” My ears pick up on the sound of running water emitting from a hose. My eyes snap open but I was too late. Cold water soaks me from head to toe. I scream for him to stop.
“OH MY GOD!!! SHUT IT OFF PIERCE! SHUT! IT! OFF!”
The steady spray of water slowly lessened until it was a light trickle. Until all that was audible was the whoosh of wind and Peirce’s flipping british chuckle that was starting to annoy the crap out of me. Then his face fell into a serious frown as he saw my red poufy eyes. Reality slowly fell into place. I started frantically swiping at my cheeks before remembering that all my tears had been washed away.
“P-pierce! What a-are you here. I mean doing here? What are you doing here?” My voice was raspy and it was so obvious that I had been crying. The wind blew fiercely and sucked the remaining heat from my body. He smirks slightly while cockily waggling an eyebrow at me.
“Just ditching school for the first time in America.” I stare at him with utter shock and he chuckles slightly before turning to me seriously again. Man were all Brits this bipolar or what? (A/N: No Offense To British People! At all!) He gracefully slipped off his black leather jacket. It was worn out but still in good condition. He draped it over my shoulders and I clung to it. Soon my shivering died down.
“Actually Spencer called me and said you ran away. He was going to run after you but the bell rang and he couldn’t be late again…” He trailed off and I nodded in understanding. But why did it sound like Pierce was trying to cover up for him in a way?
