I was in my bed and in the clothes I wasn't wearing the previous night. I turned my head over to look at the clock, it said 11:53 am on Thursday the 28th. I thought it was extremely strange since I was at Marina and Alex's house on Saturday. The clock was wrong, I said tto myself. I got up out of bed and dressed for the shit day that was coming ahead. I've always hated my job, I couldn't stand the people there. I dealt with it though.

I walked downstairs to find Alex waiting in the dining room. His eye area was red, probably because he had been crying. He turned and sighed. He got up and walked towards me. He grabbed me by my shirt, picked me up and pushed me up against a wall.

He said, "What the hell, Jas? Have you gone fucking insane?"

I looked at him, confused and said, "I don't know what you are talking about. You are hurting me!"

As I finished speaking, he pushed tighter against me throat, "It's only fair, don't you think?"

"What?"

"Don't play dumb with me. You know exactly what I'm talking about," He placed me down on the floor, but put his hands around my neck and squeezed. I was struggling to breathe.

I said, "Alex please, I can't breathe. Let me go."

Alex looked at me in disgust and then took his hands away from my neck. I dropped to the floor and tried to catch my breath.

After a few minutes, he sat down on the floor and began to cry, "I thought you would remember killing her. My wife. You took her away from me."

"What? No. I... I didn't. She's alive. She has to be."

"This isn't a joke, Jas. The police discovered her body yesterday. What I want to know why you were acting strange the other day? When you walked to where her body was found?"

"I can't remember that."

He laughed, "Great cover story. I'm tired of hearing your lies."

He got up and walked to the door. He hesitated for a second, but turned the doorknob and left without looking back. I just sat there in shock; for what must have been 20 minutes. My concentration was broken when I heard the phone ring. My stomach turned.

I picked it up and said,  "Hello?"

"Hi Jas, it's Tristan."

"Hi, I'm leaving for work now. I'll be there soon."

He sighed, "Don't bother, you've missed a lot of work and Jack is saying that you're fired. I'm sorry Jas, I'll come over after work to drop off your things."

I didn't even bother to reply. I needed my job and it wasn't as if I missed work on purpose. I grabbed my bag, ran out of the door and to my car, but a man was waiting for me. He signalled for me to get in the car so I did. He drove to the forest and then told me to get out and walk until I knew where I was.

I did what I was told because he scared the shit out of me. It was getting darker. I was going further in. I stopped because my feet were sore, not because I knew where I was. Someone was walking toawrds me; I walked back slowly. I could hear the person say something very faintly. I continued to walk backwards. Suddenly,  I fell into a deep hole. I was too short and too weak to climb out. I was wondering why the person was taking so long to get to me. It must of been ten minutes before she came to me.

She looked at me and laughed, "You've got yourself into a bit of a mess, haven't you? First letting the husband find out and now, getting yourself in a hole. I guess I did put the it there, but you fell in, didn't you?"

"Please get me out; I can't talk to you while I'm in here."

"I'm getting there, but first a question."

"Okay."

"Do you remember anything about me? Or the mission?"

"No, I have never met you before in my life," She looked disappointed.

So I said, "Am I supposed to?"

She turned and whistled to someone. Two men walked over and placed a ladder into the hole. I climbed up. One of the men grabbed my hands and pulled them behind my back, the other tied them with ropes.

She said, "You must understand that this is necessary, considering the circumstances."

We walked until we reached a car. They were talking me somewhere.

The woman reached in her briefcase; which was sitting in the back seat of the car and pulled out a needle and a tube filled with blue liquid.

She then turned to me and said, "This will  take awhile to come into effect. It is much stronger this time so you can't fuck up like last time." She took my arm and stuck the needle in my vein until the tube was completely empty. The men placed me in the boot of the car and slammed it shut. I was panicking.
