A Growl Started It All: A Sonic X Shadow FanFiction

Chapter 1: New School

Sonic's POV:

I woke up to my stupid alarm going off, over and over again. So I sat up and reached over to turn the darn thing off.  Once it was off and stopped making any noise, I sighed then looked around and got out of my bed, making my way to the bathroom.

I walked into the bathroom, shut the door behind me and started the shower.  The shower water was a bit to hot but then out of no where it went freezing cold.

"Ah! H-Hey!" I screamed when the water got cold so I quickly finished up and got out of the shower as fast I could, which was basically at the speed of light... So pretty fast, in my opinion.

I brushed my teeth then walked out the bathroom. I checked the time and I realized I was going to be late on my first day of the new school I'm going too!

"Oh Shi-" I ran, my super sonic speed, and made it five minutes before first period, so that gave me enough time to get my things together and make it to my first class.

I stepped in the class while holding my school items such as an art box, notebooks, a binder full of loose leaf paper, and basically all the things you need for school.

"Ah...you must be the new student, welcome. I'm Mrs.Williams."

"Oh uh," I walked up to her, "Thank you for the welcoming, I'm Sonic." I smiled nervously as I took a glance at the classroom. I froze in my place, there were students here already...as in...the entire classroom was filled. I was a bit confused on why they were staring at me then I remembered, I'm the new student...

"Well, go ahead and take a seat beside...Hm... Shadow. Shadow, can you please raise your hand."

I looked around to see a hand be raised. The hand was raised by another hedgehog. I walked over to him and sat down but when I sat down, he growled and looked away.

'What...just happened?' I questioned his actions in my head.

I opened my notebook as the teacher was talking and I began to take notes.  I know for a fact the notes I were taking, I had no clue what any of it meant, how great is that?

Once class ended, I was the last one out of the classroom because I was talking to Mrs.Williams about some extra help for me to understand the subject. Which the subject was Science, I could never remember anything and I could never understand any of it.

Once Mrs.Williams and I were done talking, I dashed out the room to my locker then to my next period, World History. World History was easy in my opinion, but I didn't know if it was gonna be easy this year. I was quite frightened when I walked into the room, all eyes were on me. I walked up to the teacher who said their name was Mr.Carbon.

"Hi, you must be the new student," he welcomed me.

"Yeah.." I basically whispered to him, I was embarrassed that so many people were staring at me.

"Sonic, correct?" He smiled.

"Mhm." I nodded.

"Huh.. Well, Sonic, why don't you take a seat by,.." Mr.Carbon looked around the room for, I'm guessing, an open seat.

"Ah, how about sitting next to Scourge. Scourge, please raise your hand for our new student." Mr.Carbon smiled and gestured for me to take a seat next to the student that had raised his hand.

I nodded to my teacher and walked over to the green creature and took my seat. At first, I felt really awkward because my desk mate, Scourge, kept looking at me with this smirk and I wanted to say something to him but I just brushed it off my shoulder. I payed attention in class, for the most part but it was difficult when I would look up and notice that my classmates were taking glances at me. I just ignored their glances and continued to take notes.
