Chapter 2: His Glare

Sonic's POV:

"Ahem, everyone. Meet Sonic!" Amy spoke quite proudly of me, I think.

"Hey Handsome~" A white female bat had spoke up first out of all of Amy's friends.

"I'm Rouge" The white bat spoke.

"Hi, Rouge." I smiled nervously at her since I didn't like that she had called me 'Handsome' but I wasn't to bothered.

"Well, Sonic." Amy placed her hand on my shoulder, I hated physical interactions with anyone so I held in my growl.

"That's Knuckles," She pointed at a red echinda.
"That's Blaze," She pointed at a purple cat and I nodded.
"That's Silver, he's also a hedgehog!" She squealed and I flinched.

"Hello, Fellow Hedgehog." The silver-toned furred hedgehog greeted me.

"Hi, I guess?" I looked at who Amy was pointing at next when I was done speaking to the other hedgehog known as Silver.

"And...that's...ugh," Amy had rolled her eyes.
"That's Shadow..." She pointed at another hedgehog that had black fur and quills that were also black with red stripes in on the the top, his quills were facing either upwards or downward unlike mine, my quills just faced down.

I went to say something but the dark hedgehog had growled and gave me a death glare so I just rolled my eyes and looked at the others.

Lunch was pretty fun but I felt left out so I eventually left the table and headed to where my new friend, Tails, was sitting.

"Hey, Tails," I smiled and he looked at me then smiled back.
"Do you mind if I sit with you?" I asked but I already knew the answer since he was sitting by himself which made me feel a bit bad for not sitting with him sooner.

"I don't mind at all! After all, we're friends now!" His smile was so warm and welcoming, it was nice.

"Good cause... I wasn't gonna take 'no' as an answer." I chuckled and sat down across from him.

"Oh, well, that's pretty..smart? I guess." He shrugged and sat up.

"Yeah, it was." I reached over the table and ruffled his fur on the top of his head.

"Hey! I just fixed my hair from you doing that from earlier!" He pushed my hand away and had a bit of blush running across his muzzle.

"I can't help it, you're just to cute." I smiled and pulled my hand back as Tails began to fix his fur.

Tails and I began talking about what we're interested in, things like movies, favorite foods or drinks and maybe I kinda brought up what kinda girls he was into so he asked me the same thing and I told him I didn't care honestly other then for their personality.

"So, Sonic..." A smirk had crept onto his face.
"Interested in any girls at this school yet?" He asked as his smirk grew bigger and his question made my ears perk up.

"Ah...no, no girl has caught my eye yet." I slid my hands through my quills a bit shocked Tails had asked me this awkward question.

"Oh? Are you sure? Cause... You've seemed to catch a few eyes from some girls already, you're practically all the girls have been talking about." He told me a bit confused.
