Senjuro's POV (I LUV THIS SOFT BEAN NO ONE CAN STOP MEH-)

I was sweeping casually outside of our house when I heard grumbling from a boy who I knew too well.

"Hello Ichiro," I stopped my chore momentarily to have a chat with him. Ichiro was too busy grumbling and kicking that he must've become deaf. I used my broom to get his attention by poking his arm. Ichiro looked at me in a flash with a death glare and a dark aura surrounding him.

"I-I'm sorry for disturbing you!" I retracted my broom back in fear. Unexpectedly, his aura was no longer dark and creepy.

"It's fine..." he displayed a look of sadness, something that was rare of him to show.

"What's wrong?" I tilted my head to the side in curiosity.

"I got into an argument with my sister," he looked into the other side just to avoid my gaze, "She always likes to complain about me doing dangerous things when all I do is nothing close to danger."

I pursed my lips, pondering on what to say. Scratching my left cheek I said, "That's normal. Every older sibling would do anything to protect their younger sibling. It's just like my big brother telling me not to go out at night because I know he's doing it for my sake."

Ichiro's shoulders slumped as he sighed, "Yeah... I guess you're right."

"Ichiro-kun!" I directed my stare to a woman behind Ichiro. The woman stopped to catch her breath after the running that she did.

"Ma'am are you okay?" I approached her carefully.

She looked at me and smiled, "Yes. I just got tired of searching for him."

The woman pointed at Ichiro. He was silent on the corner while fiddling with his feet.

"Ichiro-kun, let's go back you might worry your sister," she took Ichiro by the hand and led him away. He didn't protest to her and just obeyed. I continued doing my business, hoping Ichiro and Mari would fix their problem.

(Y/n)'s POV

"Mari, who were you talking about when you said you don't want to lose another family member?" I was sitting down across a table with Mari face-to-face. Here it is, the slight tension came back once I said those words.

"Before Ichiro, my mother gave birth to my little sister named Rie. She was still an infant when a demon came into our house and took her away. I was the first to witness how she got taken away. I-I couldn't do anything cause I... I was scared. Mother and father came in but it was too late. Rie was gone in the moonlight."

Mari's eyes were glossy and so was mine. I clearly understood her story because it was similar to what happened with my parents.

"I'm very sorry to what happened..." I dipped my head down low, "I know what it's like to have your loved ones killed."

"Dear it's time for you to go to bed," my mother carried me to my room. I was still too active to sleep so I kept on wiggling from her arms. The storm was getting worse outside. If it doesn't stop the house I'm in might break down.

"But I don't wanna!" she puts me down on my futon.

"You need to store that energy of yours tomorrow. Remember we're moving out," father reminded. He mentioned something about a new house he purchased. I don't know why father didn't like our old house but I just went with it.
