Kana's Pov

Everything was peaceful this morning.

Meli needed the extra sleep. I was dressed and woke up Rose, she was still a sleepy one. But getting her dressed and out the door with some fresh bread. I went to see Merlin about the baby and rose.

I opened to door without a care and walked in. "Good morning Merlin" I said, rose came in and sat down. "Kana, I see you came for another check up" Merlin said slightly smirking. One thing I've known is that she has the guts to use Elizabeth's father as a guinea pig. But when it comes to me, she knows to not even do it.

After my check up, she started to teach rose about her new ability. She caught on quickly, and then we left for the tavern. Once we opened the door, meliodas was humming while cleaning a cup. Rose rushed in and went upstairs. She wanted to tell her big sisters about her new book.

"Hey meli"

Meliodas smiled but he seemed off. "Hey kana, where were you this morning? I needed some extra loving-" a sword was at his neck levitating. But once things calmed down we talked. "Are you still going on that journey?" I asked. "Yep!" He said. I smiled to know he is doing okay after that problem.

"Well, I can go pack the girls bag and my own-"

"Oh that's fine" meliodas said. I notice he really wasn't looking at me. "Meliodas, what are you talking about" I asked slightly hurt. "We agreed that me and the girls will stay with you"

"Doesn't sound like I said something like that" meliodas said. He checked the other alcohol, so slammed my fist on the counter "okay what the hell? What's up with you?" I asked. Meliodas suddenly disappeared and pushed up the skirt of my dress in the air. Blushing as this isn't what he does most of the time. "Still think I'm acting weird? I'm the same as always" he said groping my butt and rubbing his cheek on my thighs.

My face felt hot and could feel steam leaving my head. But I snapped out of it, gently pushing meliodas away from me. "Meliodas, pushing me away will not solve anything" I said but he still smiled. "Kana, I just want you and the girls to stay in the kingdom-"

"That's not an option Meliodas" I said. "Look, I know you're trying to protect us but would it be better to have-"

"Kana, you and the girls are in danger! What do you want me to do bring you with me and put you in danger? I can't protect you or the girls! Hell I can't stand the thought of losing you and the girls and the baby! Please just stay here!" Meliodas slightly shouted. I know what he's feeling, and I agree that staying with him would be bad but I also believe staying away is not the way for this. "Meliodas, I understand. But staying in the kingdom isn't an option, I want to so badly to leave and take the girls with me but I can't. I can barely use my magic to defend myself and the girls haven't even fought against anyone with their magic! Even if the guards protected us, that won't stop the commandments from trying to come and kill me" I said.

Third person's Pov

Meliodas doesn't want his girls to be in danger but there isn't anything he can really do. He loved them all, he wanted to protect someone, to treasure them but sending them away was the best option. But what kana said was true, " okay, but please don't help if anything dangerous that deals with me"

Meliodas said but kana eyes widen "but meli-" "kana, please...just please stay away with the girls even if I have to die...don't interfere" meliodas said. Kana hugged him tightly, his face in her breast as he blushed. "Okay, I won't interfere if something happens. Just don't leave the girls, me and the baby alone. Promise me" kana said. She gently released him, he looked up to stare into his wife's eyes. "Promise" he said.
