Unlike Harry, Zayn didn't have work release on his schedule. He had a class for every period and got out of school when all the other children were let out. So days like today whenever Harry didn't have to work and made plans to see Zayn, Harry would leave the school campus and go home and wait until he called.

Around three o'clock, Zayn finally called him and asked him where he wanted to go eat for their date. Then after going back and forth and debating about what they had a taste for, they finally decided on tacos and went to a taco shack in the city.

It was true what Zayn said. He loved Harry a lot and he loved being able to be affectionate and show just how much he loved him. But a promise was a promise. And knowing how Harry's mother and step father was, he didn't want to do anything that would get him in trouble with them. So when they sat down to eat, he took his place across from him, feeling that it might make it easier for him to keep his hands to himself.

"Being able to date is fun. But we don't get to do it so it's weird." Harry said through a smile.

"Yeah. It is a little bit weird right now. But imagine when we go to college together and we get to do this without having to worry and we can date like real couples."

"Yeah. It'll be amazing."

But Zayn noticed his smile had left and he was just playing with his nachos.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

Harry sighed. "We're two and a half months away from Early Decision results. That means we could be two and a half months away from our plans and dreams being crushed. What if Graven University doesn't accept me?"

"They will. You're smart."

"How do you know though?"

"I don't. But why wouldn't they want you? Academically, you're smarter than me. Let's be real here. I'm going on a sports scholarship. Or at least it's what they're set on offering me if I don't get seriously hurt by season's end. But you are smart. You don't have to rely on that."

"You don't either. You're really smart too. They wouldn't accept you if they didn't think you could keep up academically as well. But football... that really increases your odds."

"And your scores are still higher than mine so that makes up for your lack of sports and increases your odds too. Trust me, Harry. You'll get in. For all we know, they've already made the decision to accept you and are just waiting for the official early decision period to let you know."

"Yeah... maybe."

"Just watch, babe. I mean Harry. Just watch, Harry. Sorry."

Zayn thought Harry would be mad but he wasn't. His slip up actually put a smile on Harry's face and he finally ate the chip he'd been playing with.

So far what Harry knew was that the Early Decision deadline was December 15th. He also knew people couldn't automatically go to the college of their choice just because they really wanted to go so he did have alternatives in case it didn't work out. But that didn't mean he wouldn't still feel like a failure if it didn't work out. Their entire future together depended on his acceptance to Graven University. But not just that. Every aspect of living comfortably that he hoped for depended on it as well.

They ended up spending a couple hours at the restaurant before they parted ways. Fifteen minutes later, Zayn was pulling into his driveway. Apparently Doniya was already home because her car was in the driveway.

He used his key to unlock the door and went inside. He could smell food cooking.

"I'm home!" He annouced.
