It was third down with just two minutes to go and the football was up in the air. The quarterback had just thrown it towards the sidelines and Zayn was running to stay underneath. Harry and Doniya stood up off the bleachers where they were sitting and watched it float above the field. When it reached its peak and started to come down, Zayn stretched his arms up and outward, ready to catch it.

As this situation stood, the visiting Cardinals were beating the home Warriors by three touchdowns and a feild goal, making it a twenty one point lead and the largest margin they've led by all season. So if Zayn ended up dropping this ball, the Cardinals didn't need to go for it on fourth down. Which meant they'd likely kick it away to the Warriors and let the game clock run out on their possession.

Now of course, they'd most likely still get a win out of it if no miracle took place and they'd move to a 5-1 record which was great for the team as a whole. But the problem was Zayn's streak of at least one touchdown was going to end tonight if he didn't get one before the clock struck zero.

With anticipation reigning over every Zayn fan in the stadium, the ball landed just over Zayn's fingertips and bounced off of them up toward his chest. For a moment, everyone thought he would mishandle it and drop it. But Zayn quickly regrouped, caught it, dodged his defender, then tightroped the sidelines all the way to the endzone for a touchdown.

Harry jumped up and down and cheered before turning to Doniya to hug her. Very few in the crowd were cheering too since it was a road game for the Cardinals. But for the few that were, they understood what yet another touchdown meant for Zayn's possible future career at college and in the professional football league.

Once the cardinals made the extra point and pushed the lead to twenty eight, the rest of the minutes ticked off quickly. Soon the game ended and Zayn was meeting his boyfriend and sister at the fence along the football field.

"Congratulations." Doniya beamed. "Your streak continues."

Zayn shrughed and when Harry kissed him, Zayn made sure it was a quick one instead of their usual French kiss.

"What's wrong?" Harry asked. Usually after one full kiss, Zayn would be begging for more. So it was unusual that he made the only one he was getting tonight so short.

"I didn't deserve a kiss for that." He answered honestly.

"Why not?"

"Because look when it came. With two minutes left in the game. That's not impressive."

"Does it matter when it came? Your streak is still going regardless."

"Yes. It matters to me. When the game was closer I couldn't get a touch down. But after we finally went up twenty one, I finally got one. That's not great."

"It is to me. You may not have had touchdowns during the game but you still had a lot of catches that got the team in the red zone so your teammates could get touchdowns. They don't get a twenty one point lead without you.

"I know. And I'm happy about the red zone thing. But it's just... I know there are people watching me at every game to see what I can do. I don't want to give those people the wrong impression and make them think the only reason the streak is still alive is because the other team went to sleep on defense after they were being beaten so bad."

Doniya reached out and put a hand on his shoulder. "Stop it. They won't think that. Everyone has one of those games where they don't do what they wish but you're still great and they know you're still great. You'll be fine. I promise."

A soft smile settled on his face though it was easy to see it wasn't heartfelt. He just didn't want to argue against his sister when she was here for the first time in a long time to support him in person. "Yeah... thanks."
