CHAPTER THREE:
friday night bitesThe sunlight bathed into his flesh as he sat up. He blinked, pushing away any tiredness as he leaned into the edge of the bed. His legs dangled over and his body was sore and cold.
He yawned lightly as he stood up walking out into the hallway he heard the distant hum of movement. The guest bedroom hadn't been used in years, while Elena and Jeremy each had a room.
Jenna took over there parents bedroom for the time being, leaving behind the guest bedroom for Samuels friend. Well at least that's what he'd tell everyone when they would ask about the girl.
She was simply a friend who was visiting and needed a place too stay for a few days. His bedroom was an old storage room he had to clean out himself. Because apparently he wasn't good enough to claim the guest bedroom as his own.
He knocked on the door, waiting patiently before it opened. "My family will be awake within the hour, figured we'd get you feed before then".
He walked inside closing the door behind him "hope this place wasn't too ancient, no one's slept in here for a few years so it's kinda old and dusty".
She smiled "it was alright, thanks again for letting me stay here for the time being". He hummed lightly as he cut his wrist "it's best you drink from me so you're not hungry, maybe later on we'll try and have you compel someone for a bite".
"This is all so weird, I never thought I'd have to drink blood... my father always said vampires are monsters, and they deserve to perish.. what if he comes back for me and kills me".
"Don't even worry about it, he's not gonna find you here" Samuel grabbed a cup off the nightstand letting his blood fall into it.
"Drink this, get your strength back up" she grabbed the glass "I used to faint at the sight of blood". She drank it and the loudness of Elena waking up echoed along the hallways.
"Really? Did you just like pass out the second you saw any sight of blood?" she nodded as she set the empty cup back on the table.
"It would happen every single time, after awhile it kinda just went away on its own". She sat down on the edge of the bed sighing Samuel grinned lightly.
"I have an idea, why don't we go shopping, get you some clothes that aren't borrowed, and we'll make up a story on how we meant and that we're friends". She smiled "I suppose we could just say we meant at a bar, that part isn't completely false".
He laughed pushing his hair away for his eyes, "well I guess since we're going shopping, you can show me or help me compel people".
He nodded at her words nearing the doorway "I'll meet you outside by my car". He opened the door and left, and she blinked. Part of her found of this comforting, she had wished her father was here.
She had wished he was the one helping her with this new sense of life. But he wanted her dead and she was alone forever.
—
The tension in his skull made him fold into himself. Blood dripped down the sides of his neck, he felt exposed as he leaded into the woman who held onto his flesh with such strength.
The hold itself made the ends of his skin snap, eager to escape the hold of this woman. He pushed himself back into the large crowd.
The bright lights flashed, the music making the entire atmosphere bounce like an earthquake was happening beneath his feet.
A simple shopping trip turned into an entire days worth of exploring mystic falls. The moon shone along the lands, and Samuel insisted they dance for a few hours at a local bar.
He didn't think Olivia would leave so early, leaving him utterly alone.
He was always alone.....
His fingers gripped the side of his neck, blood coating them as he pushed the bathroom door open. He groaned as he slammed into the sink.
The urge to scream was stuck on the back of his vocal cords as he let the water sink into his fingers. He remembered the woman's eyes the most, the bright blue of them as they locked with his.
She smiled at him drawing him into her hold, a simple movement, a single dance. He didn't expect her teeth to sink into his flesh, claiming him.
He slammed his eyes closed so tightly he wouldn't be surprised if they ripped out his skull. His breathing was heavy as he tugged at the collar rubbing against his neck.
He flexed his fingers letting the coldness of them relax his body as he leaned into the bathroom stall. The door clicked open and he heard the loudness of high heels clacking along the broken tiles.
He opened his eyes and they clashed with the bright blue orbs of death. "You're one of them..." his voice was low and soft like he was waiting for her to explode and attack at any second.
He blinked his lips hesitant to speak any more words but he felt the urge to just snap. She hummed lightly, not looking amused by his words.
She stood right in front of him "what do you suppose I am? You seem like a smart man". He couldn't help but laugh, and she looked offended.
"I beg your pardon, what's so funny?" he moved away from her "you'll have to wait and see". She frowned deeply at his words.
He didn't say anything else, letting himself walk out of the bathroom and exiting the building all together. He wiped the blood off his flesh with his sleeve and walked towards his car.
He knew sooner or later this woman would come after him. He wouldn't be all surprised if she tried to kill him just for the way he spoke with her.
Vampires were such sensitive creatures, and he enjoyed messing with them. He drove off, and he felt her blue eyes staring into the back of his skull.
