This is set in an AU where the class had a normal training camp as planned and didn't get ambushed by the LOV 💀

The entirety of class 1-A was exhausted. They had just finished the Pussycats' first earth monster trial, and were more than ready to start eating, when Midoriya saw the two of you and pointed it out.

"Oh they're my cousin's son and their friend's daughter. They live with us now. C'mon Kota and
(Y/N) don't be shy, say hi to everyone! They're gonna be around here the next week" Mandalay introduced.

You gave a timid wave and Kota just stood there with a stoic glare. Midoriya came up to the two of you and looked down to Kota kindly as he introduced himself. "Hey there, my name's Midoriya! I'm from the UA high school hero course, it's nice to meet you!"

Kota just stared at him for a second before punching him in the *ahem* scrotum. You and Mandalay gasped in horror as Midoriya gave out a yelp and a blue haired boy in glasses ran up to help him.

"The last thing I want is to hang out with some wannabe heroes." Kota spat.

As they heard this, a few kids in 1-A noticed your demeanor drop as your cat ears flattened down and your tail drooped. A few guessed you might be a "wannabe hero" yourself who was close to, or at least once close to Kota. Todoroki himself wasn't one to pry, and although he was admittedly a bit curious about you, he decided not to ask. Luckily for him though, a few more of his classmates were more than okay to question you about your relationship with Kota and the Wild Wild Pussycats.

At dinner, a few of the 1-A girls sat next to you and sparked a conversation. "Hi there! I'm Mina, and this is Uraraka! It's nice to meet you (Y/N)!" Mina smiled.

"O-oh hi! My name's (Y/N)." You stated awkwardly, then got even more flustered. "O-of course you already knew that but-"

"It's okay!" Uraraka giggles. "We just wanted to get to know you a bit better if you don't mind."

"I-I don't mind" you smiled nervously. "Ask whatever you want and I'll try to answer."

"Hmm... let's start with your age. You look like you're around the same age as us." Mina questioned.

"Oh! I'm 14, and in the last year of junior high. I've actually been training a lot, and I'm hoping to apply to UA next year!" You beamed back as your ears perked up and your tail flicked excitedly.

"S-she's so cute!" The two girls thought as they felt their hearts clench.

"Okay my turn!" Uraraka clapped her hands together excitedly. "What exactly is your quirk?"

"My quirk? It's exactly what it looks like! It's a mutant quirk that gives me the same abilities as a cat does. I'm able to jump really high, I have claws, and am able to fit into small, tight spaces! Sometimes I think it's the reason why the pussycats decided to take me in with Kota anyways" You joke half-heartedly.

Mina and Ochako exchanged a worried glance to each other before looking back at you.

"Hey are you guys... okay? You don't have to answer if it's a touchy subject, but why exactly are the two of you living with the pussycats anyways?"

You paused for a second, and you stayed silent for a bit, debating whether you should tell these almost total strangers about what happened.

"It's okay if you don't want to say anything. We won't try to push you to bring up any traumatic experience." Ochako smiled softly, putting a hand on your shoulder.
