A/N

Hey everyone! Thanks for reading The Kingdom. From now on, I’ve decided just to include the characters that will be important to the chapter in the character maps as well as the main characters, not every single character that I’ve introduced. SOOOO here it is!

Sasha: main character of our story A bit of a cynic, but a good person. It’s been discovered that no Drakken can tell her that she’s also a part of the Kingdom.

Tyler: other main character of our story (some chapters are seen through his point of view), Drakken from the Aquilia circle. Seems very interested in Jasmine.

Jasmine: Sasha’s best friend. Likes Tyler greatly.

Jared: Drakken from the Draco circle

Colin: Drakken from the Ferre circle, Tyler’s friend

Thanks so much for reading, Enjoy! <3

Tyler's POV

Lunch with Jasmine was amazing. After Sasha left, we spent the rest of lunch getting to know each other. I found out she can play the piano, she enjoys reading and she’s extremely funny. She asked me for my number and I gladly gave it, a shot of pure joy coursing through my veins. She likes me! Why else would she want my number?

“You need to play the piano for me one day.” I said, after Jazz confessed her love of music.

“You have to earn the right to hear me play.” She replied.

“And how do I do that?”

“Hmm…roll on the floor and then beg like a puppy.” I looked at her incredulously and she laughed at the look on my face.

“That’s the price, take it or leave it.”

“I have another idea,” I said. I started to get nervous. It’s now or never.

“Let’s go see a movie together.” I say quickly. I immediately wished I hadn’t. She looked dumbfounded, her eyes wide and her mouth open in an almost comical looking ‘o’. Crap, I overstepped my boundaries. She doesn’t even know me! Why would she want to go with me? She’s probably thinking about how much of a creeper I am. Just as I opened my mouth to take it back, or maybe invite Sasha to come with us, Jasmine snapped her mouth closed and blushed a bright red.

“Oh, um…yea. I’d like that.” She stuttered, tripping over her words. I wanted to do a dance. Maybe yell at the top of my lungs with joy. She said yes! Before I could stop it, a huge grin spread across my face. Remember how I’d wished I didn’t ask her? I totally take that back. She smiled shyly back at me and my heart skipped a beat. Damn, I had it bad. Just then, the warning bell rang which meant we had four minutes to get to class.

“Well, I better get going.” Jasmine said to me.

“Hey, I’ll walk you to class.” I said

“But your class is on the other side of the school, you’ll be late.” She replied, looking worried. I shrugged.

“It’s no big deal, really.” I stated.

“No, go to class.” She said, sternly. “Or I’ll stick your head in a tuba.” Though I didn’t understand how going to class and getting my head stuck in a tuba related, I pretended to be scared for my life and I turned quickly and headed in the direction of my next class, Math.

Math was aggravatingly slow and boring. I guess my old school had a more advanced math program because what was being taught here I had already learned. As well, I have absolutely no patience for math. Too many numbers that don’t make sense. Too many variables to consider. The smoker from lunch was in my class. He looked over at me from time to time and I wanted to smack that knowing smirk off his face. There were two other Drakken in the class. One female and one male. Both of whom acknowledged me with a nod of their heads when I ran into class, just shy of the bell. Since then, they have totally ignored me. I don’t know who annoys me more, the smoker who acts like we’re long lost brothers or the other two who barely noticed our connection. The bell finally rings, signalling the end of class. I jump out of my seat, excited to see Jasmine, when I noticed the three Drakken standing in front of my desk. I smile tentatively at them and hold out my hand for them to shake. They don’t take it.
