The most painful goodbyes are the ones that are never explained.
There she was like a lifeless flower, laying beside a tree in the dirt.
Defenseless.
Outnumbered.
Taken by surprise.
Death is an awful thing, but it eventually will happen to all of us.
But not her.
She was too young
It wasn't her time to go.
Not yet.
Not now.
Her life was only beginning.
She had so much talent
So many opportunities to come.
So much potential.
A beautiful future...
As a daughter.
As a mother.
As a wife.
As a grandma.
As a mentor.
Inspiring generation to come.
With her braveness.
Her determination.
Her perseverance.
Her leadership.
Her kindness.
Her ability to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
She would not be forgotten.
Not like this.
She was too precious.
Avery died at the age of 17.
With a knife lodged into her heart.
The funeral was short.
But it was beautiful.
They buried her in the middle of the forest.
Where she belonged.
They covered her in daisies.
Her favorite flower.
No one spoke.
They didn't have the ability to speak.
They were no words to express the loss.
They sang instead.
They sang for Avery.
For her Parents.
For the children she would never have.
For everyone who was affected by her death.
Their words could be heard miles away.
Echoing everywhere.
The wind stopped blowing.
The birds stopped chirping.
The animals stopped moving.
Paying their respects.
Wyatt was affected the most.
Though he would never admit it.
She was the love of his life.
They were going to grow old together.
Have children.
Be the best grandparents, their grandchildren could imagine.
But a single knife sliced his dreams away.
He never had the chance to tell her.
And he never would.
That he loved her.
That he would die for her.
He should've been by her side.
Should've sacrificed himself.
He would never forgive himself, for leaving her.
But one day.
They would meet again.
Some place else, high up in the clouds.
Where they wouldn't be torn apart.
Not again.
It was now just the three of them.
They had a new task on their hands.
And they all knew what it was.
That they would have to do.
Find the killer.
