How to Ask You Right (A Yule Ball Story)

Part 4

Fred's POV
George's words entangled  themselves around in head as I walked through the common room. I'm unaware of my friends calling me over to sit with them, or the odd stairs Ron and his friends give me as I head out of the portrait hole.
Without knowing it I find myself walking around the school, snapped out of my daze only by name coming from a bathroom.
"If Fred Weasley ever steps foot inside this bathroom you soak him to the bone." I stopped turning around to press my ear to the door. I knew that voice.
"Deal" Moaning Myrtle. 'Who in there right mind would talk to Myrtle' I thought listening for the other voice to respond.
"Well I- I don't really know how to start..."
'Eveline' I took a step back from the door. 'I should turn and leave this is probably private' but with the mention of my name I was instantly back against the door.
"I realized I really liked him at the beginning of last year. But I tired to hide the feelings from him you know, cause I didn't think Fred liked me and I wanted to stay friends. And for a while I though I could do this but then Christmas came around and" My heart rate began to pick up as the memory from last year resurfaced.

"Alright you two lost now go get us food." Lee pointed towards the door.
Eve groaned into the pillow she had been leading on. "This is stupid." I laughed standing up from my bed and walked over to Eveline.
"Come on, you agreed when we started play gobstones the loosers would go get food." Another groan proceeded from Eve who was now laying on the bed with the pillow over her face. "Get up love, or I'll pick you up." Eve moved the pillow from her face and looked up at me.
"You wouldn't dare." A grin grew across my face as I picked her up and threw her over my shoulder.
"PUT ME DOWN FREDRICK!!! I SWEAR I WILL GET YOU BACK FOR THIS I SWEAR!!! FRED I-" Ignoring Eveline's tantrum, I turned to Lee and George.
"We'll be back with food in a bit." Walking out of the dorm, Eve huffed and said,
"You can put me down now."
"I'd rather not. I quite enjoy the view." I say looking over my shoulder to see her reaction, flashing her a mistchevious grin.
"FRED WEASLEY" she started to beat my back with her fist, acting as if she was mad, but I could see a small blush creeping up her cheeks. I chuckled as we reached the common room and I set her down.
"Happy now?" I laughed at her flushed face and messed up hair.
"No..." she said in a hushed tone as she fixed her hair. I chuckled by stopped when I noticed mistletoe floating towards us. "Well let's go now." Eve looked up at me. "What are you- oh." She noticed what I was looking at. We both stood still as the small plant continued it's way toward us then stopped, hovering above our heads. Looking down at Eve I noticed she was still looking at the plant. Clearing my throat I caught her attention.
"Well one way to solve this then." I said looking down at the Auburn haired girl. Her sparkling green eyes widened as I leaned in to give her a kiss. At first she stood there frozen, I began to pull away afraid I had over stepped when her arms wrapped around my neck. The kiss deepened however we pulled away when we heard foot steps approaching.
"Well umm we should go get those snacks now." Eve's eyes looked everywhere but my directions, her cheeks a bright red.
"Umm, yeah that'll be a good idea."
Later that evening, after Eveline had fallen asleep, George cleared his throat.
"So you gonna tell her you like her?" My eyes widened as I looked over at my brother.
"Tell who what?" George rolled his eyes.
"Bloody hell you are thick. I'm talking about Eveline. You like her and obviously something happened down there. You can't keep your eyes off of her and she blushes every time she caught you starring." I sighed and moved a piece of hair out of Eve's face and looked back up at my brother and told him what happened.

Snapping out of the daze the memory put my in I heard the door begin to open. Standing up from where I had sat down I went to walk away when I suddenly ran into someone. Reaching out to grab them I pulled the person to my chest to keep them from falling, before realized it was Eveline.
"Hey Eve..."
