I was driving to my new apartment complex. When I got there I grabbed some of the bags I could carry. I went into the apartment. It was surprisingly clean for one guy living there. I saw a guy who looked only a few years older than me sitting on the couch. There was a big dog sitting next to him. The guy turned around and smiled at me. His dog came up and sniffed me.
"Hey, I'm Aaron. That's my dog Alex. Are you my new roommate?" He asked getting up to help me.
"Hi, I'm Aphmau," I said with a smile. He was hot.
"Nice to meet you. Let me help you," He said taking a couple bags from me.
"Thank you," I said. He helped me move all my stuff into my room. He was so helpful. We sat on the couch and got to know him. He was single and worked night shifts as a security guard. His dog was a White Labrador and super friendly. He was super nice. He seemed like a nice guy who had no bad intentions.
"I'm a barista. It doesn't make a ton of money, but it gets me by," I said.
"As long as it pays," He smiled.
"How long have you been living here?" I asked.
"Almost a year," He replied.
"Is it nice here?" I asked.
"Yes, I mean, I had a roommate who was awful, but hopefully you won't be like that," He chuckled. I smiled and laughed. We spent some time talking and really getting to know each other.
