Later that night (chapter 2)

-shains p.o.v.-

        I got woken up to the sound of something hitting my dresser. I shot out of my laying position on my bed and looked over to the source that made the noise. As i looked over, I could see a figure bent over, rubbing its leg. But I couldn't see who it is. Scared, I pulled my cover over my head and peaked out through the tiny hole.

        The figure stood straight up again.

        "Gosh. That is a quiet way to not wake them up." The shadow said. Almost in a sarcastic way. The voice sounded familiar. But I wasnt sure, so I got out of my hiding place in my covers and turned on my bedside lamp and my heart stopped for a second at who I saw.

        Mom.

        "Mom!" I yelled as she fell to her knees with open arms. I can see that she's still in her uniform.

        "Come here Shain, I missed you!" My Mom cried and I ran into my moms arms and started to cry too.

        "Mom, I missed you so much! Please dont leave us again for awhile. Its been really tough without you here." I said as my Moms arms tightened around my waist.

        "I will be staying here for a week, I promise baby. Im so glad I get to see one of my girls" I pulled back and smiled and wiped my eyes. I felt something tugging on my shirt so I turned around to see that my two sisters are awake and standing there, smiling.

        "Awe, look at my two little precious girls, come here, give mommy a hug." They came over and we all hugged each other. I looked up at the doorway and saw my Dad leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed over his chest and a grin on his face. My mom looked to were I was looking and smiled. She stood up and walked over to my Dad.

        "Sherry, I didnt think you would make it home before Christmas, im happy you made it." My Dad grabbed my moms waist and pulled her closer to him and kissed her under the mistletoe that was hung there from this morning.

        "Eeewwww!" All three of us yelled while covering our eyes with our hands. Mom and Dad started laughing.

        "Come on girls, thats not the first time you saw Mommy and Daddy kissing." Dad smiled at Mom and wrapped one arm around her waist. "Hey how about we all go to bed so Mommy can rest, I bet shes had a long day, havent you honey?"

        "Yeah, I agree with your Dad, goodnight girls, I love you." Mom said while coming over to us and kissing our cheeks. We all said "I love you" and crawled into our beds and fell asleep. Without a worry in the world. Now that my Christmas night is complete.
