Nejire giggled softly at her dear friend, Yuyu's light-hearted joke, though, even she could admit, she wasn't completely there.

"Hey Hado?" Yuyu asked, "You alright?" She tapped the girl gently on the shoulder, which caused Nejire to sigh.

"I don't know, Haya, I think there's something wrong with my friend." Nejire said, momentarily looking at Yuyu and then over at Tamaki, "You know Amajiki, right?"

"Tamaki Amajiki? Oh yeah, he's part of your big three group, right?"

Nejire nodded, "He's usually very shy and anxious, but he's always calmer around Mirio and I." She sighed, "But he's been acting especially strange lately, and I'm worried."

Yuyu looked over at the indigo haired boy, "Why don't you talk to him?" Yuyu said, looking back at Nejire.

"We'll I don't want it to seem like a confirmation, I know for a fact that'll make him anxious." Nejire said solemnly, "And what's worse is I won't be able to do that anyway since I'm going on vacation for two weeks."

"Texts?"

"We're in a group chat but he doesn't talk in it alot. He's quite reserved." Nejire looked at Mirio, "Tamaki and I are very close, but he's far closer with Mirio. Tamaki tends to open up more when he's around."

"I see." Yuyu said, "So why doesn't Mirio talk to him?"

Nejire shrugged, "I don't know. I assume he's tried, but I think it's only made things worse." Nejire planted his head in Yuyu's shoulder, "Ugh! I don't want to leave them alone at a time like this Yuyuuuuuu!"

Yuyu blushed softly and placed a hand on Nejire's back, "They'll be fine, Nei." 

Nejire looked up at Yuyu and gave her a small smile, "Thanks Yuus."

"You're...You're leaving for thr-three weeks?" Tamaki asked, surprised. He couldn't recall a time Nejire even took a sick day.

"Yeah." Nejire said, feeling a tinge of guiltiness, "My granddad's birthday is next week and the whole family wants to spend some time with him." Nejire explained.

"Oh, tell your grandpa I said hi." Mirio said, he usually said that when a family member or friend was brought up, even if he hadn't met them and they would have not a clue who Mirio was.

Nejire turned to Mirio and smiled, "I will, Togata."

"H-have fun, Hado." Tamaki said quietly, staring at the floor as he usually did. But, somehow, he looked more uncomfortable than usual.

Nejire's heart tinged with sadness, clearly picking up the discomfort in the boy's words.

"I will Amajiki, thanks."

And with that, the group hugged, Tamaki just tucking his arms in and letting the two hug him rather than him commencing in any hugging. And Nejire left, her parents had been parked outside of the school gates and we're getting antsy.

"Love you guys!" Nejire said, waving as she walked away.

As she left, she turned to look at Tamaki, who was fiddling with his sleeve. She looked closely, a deep-looking red scar just barely visible under the cuff.

Nejire's heart broke at the sight, she hadn't expected to see that.

And she could do nothing about it.

When Nejire reached the hotel she and her parents were staying at, she sat on the bed and texted Mirio.

Nejire Hado ⚡🌸:

Hey Togata! Can you keep an eye on Tamaki for me? He's been acting a bit strange and I'm worried about him.

Moments later Mirio texted back, she expected a quick reply since the message was about Tamaki.

Mirio Togata ☀️:

Hey Hado! I was actually going to go see him tomorrow and take him on a walk since it's Saturday. I've been noticing he's been acting a bit weird too. Don't tell him because it will make him really upset, but I think he might be hurting himself.

Nejire was taken aback, she hadn't expected Mirio to share her suspicious.

Nejire Hado ⚡🌸:

I know I probably shouldn't say this because it can be harmful, but you're his best friend so I'll let you know.

Nejire waited a moment. She really didn't know how to put it.

Nejire Hado⚡🌸:

I saw a really big cut on Tamaki's arm today, I think that's why he was wearing long sleeves today.

Mirio Togata ☀️:

I'm really worried about him, Hado. I love him.

Nejire sighed, briefly thinking back to the time when Mirio told her he liked Tamaki. He was probably suffering with this information.

Nejire Hado ⚡🌸:

I know buddy. Keep him safe for me, okay?
