3rd POV

'I wonder how much longer.' Aizawa looks down at his watch only to see that he still has two hours left until he finishes his hero work for the night. It is currently three in the morning and he is sitting on one of the many buildings of Tokyo looking for any suspicious activity. He hears an alarm in the distance which can only mean one thing. 'A villain.' Jumping off the building, he uses his capture weapon to swing from building to building towards the sound of the alarm, stopping in an alley next to a jewelry store. He jumped through the broken window to quickly apprehend the three criminals that were trying to stash away as much jewelry as they could into duffel bags and called the police to pick them up. He dragged them out to the front of the store, leaving the duffel bags inside, to wait for the police.

"Meowr~"

'A cat?' Aizawa turned to look into the dark alley.

'Where?' He knelt down, holding his hand in front of himself, and called gently to the animal he knew was hiding. The three criminals looked at each other, confused, and burst out laughing at the sight of him.

"SHUT UP!" They became silent instantly in fear of provoking the wrath of a tired Eraser Head.

"Pst, pst, pst, pst, pst. Come on, I know you're there. I'm sorry about those three. They probably scared you but just know that I'm not going to hurt you," Aizawa called out in a gentle voice. Cats are intelligent and are great judges of human character and emotion. He only hopes that this particular one can tell he is a good person. He waits patiently in his crouched position for a couple more minutes until he hears the slight jingle of metal. He holds his breath in anticipation until the kitten in question steps into the light, sniffing at Aizawa.

'He's so dirty.' He looks at the cat in pity and just knows that he has to take him home. Gently reaching out with his other hand, he manages to caress the kitten's head gently and that is when the kitten melts to the floor purring. Aizawa chuckles at the sight.

"You must be a people cat, huh?" He asks in a whisper, a small smile appearing on his face. He notices a collar with a tag on the kitten and decides to take a look, grabbing him under his front legs while sitting on the ground to put him on his knee.

"Meow?"

"Yeah I know, I'm just checking something." Aizawa lifts the metal tag closer to his face to read the small writing.

'Aiko Ishikawa? Such a human name. Is there an address or number?' He turns the tag around only to find it completely blank. While lifting the cat in the air to check the gender Aizawa continues talking to the kitten.

"I guess I should be calling you a she huh? Yup, you're a female. Seems like you don't belong to anybody so I'm taking you home with me, okay?" Aiko seems to look at him in affirmation as the police he called earlier finally show up. He stands to greet them and some look at him oddly because of the dirty cat he is holding in his arms.

"These are the criminals I called you guys to pick up. I left the duffel bags of jewelry they were planning to steal in the store. I'm going home, someone else can finish my hero work for tonight." After saying his piece, he walked away quickly, leaving the six police officers to stand around confused until they decided to take the criminals to jail.

The sound of a bath running could be heard throughout Aizawa's apartment. Steam came out of the bathroom while he was rummaging through his cabinets looking for animal friendly soap while Aiko sat patiently on the grey bath mat.

"Shit. I guess I threw it away. Oh well." He looked towards Aiko contemplating what he could use instead.

"Would you mind smelling like me? I guess it doesn't matter though, you're a cat. Why am I talking to you?" He shook his head in disbelief. He scoffed, rolling his eyes at himself and his actions.
