"I don't understand," Hannah said and sat up on the bed, "why you can't just leave him." Pushing herself up with her knees from laying on her stomach, Sophie sat up and brought her pillow to her chest. With a sigh upon her numb bitten lips, Sophie toyed with her fingers, "it's not that easy."
Hannah placed her hands atop of her best friend's shoulders and gave them a squeeze. "You're not happy with him but you're secretly happy with the other," she said, "why not be happy in public."
"He'd kill me if he knew," Sophie said flatly but covered her seriousness with laughter. Hannah rolled her eyes then dropped her hands, "we'll I've only been here two months and from what I've seen, Bryce Walker isn't that bad, he'll move on with some naive freshman in no time."
Sophie feigned a grin and matched a forceful laugh alongside Hannah's angelic tone, "yeah, isn't that bad."

His hands tightly cupped her cheeks while hers secured around his wrists ensuring his hold wouldn't falter. Their noses brushed together in soft skin kisses, each set of tears intermixing.
"I just want to be with you," she whispered as her lips lightly grazed his own. His tongue darted and grazed her bottom lip before taking her lip in between his teeth and guiding her closer so he could kiss her. "I know," he said, "we just have to deal with Bryce."
