We remained kissing for what felt like hours but was only a few short seconds. He looked down at me, with our foreheads touching, and whispered "I know you know that I'm with Juliet. and to be honest Laurie, I love her, so much. But we both know there's something between us. I just don't know what to do about it."
"Andy, I can't tell you what to do, but tomorrow you and the guys are leaving, so don't get attached. don't try to fix me or love me back. Because as you previously stated, you have a girlfriend. One that you really love, who isn't broken."
He moved away from me, his eyes glistening over with tears. He stood up and went to leave but then he quickly turned around "you're not broken Laurie, you've just fallen, and need a saviour. I'd love to be yours but I can't."
I was left still sitting on the bathroom floor, speechless as he left. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, I realised there was a way out of my darkness. the light was Andy. But for as long as I was aware of his existance, he had known me a couple of days. He couldn't be my light because it doesn't work like that. God doesn't want happy ever afters, he wants cold, harsh reality that beats you till your dead.
