A/N
Really quick before I start this chapter off I wanna say that theres a 95% chance I have caught the corona virus. Two of my siblings already started showing symptoms. But hey, upside: school is now online only.
Let it go down in history that I survived this epidemic. 😂

Okay, that aside I also wanted to proudly present a drawing I did of Amara, because it took me a few hours. I'll probably be doing Emma next.

Emma POV

"I came in like a wreckinggg balllll!" I sung at the top of my lungs.

"I neverrrr hit so hard in loveeee!" Logan joined in, just as loud.

"Allll I wanted wassss to break yourrr wallssss!"

"And alllllll you ever didddd—"

"Oh my god guys, you promised you'd stop after Titanium," Dani whined, cutting Logan off mid-lyric.
We both shot her dirty looks. "We didn't promise." I pointed out.
"We said we might stop,"

Dani glared. "If you keep up your screeching I will personally cover you head to toe with poison oak tonight," she threatened, smirking.

I shivered. "I'm good! I'm good. We don't need to sing anymore, do we Logan?"
"Oh yeah, pftt us and singing? Never!"
Dani looked thoroughly unconvinced.

I leaned over towards Logan, "She didn't say we couldn't whistle," I muttered with a small smile.
He grinned and we began to simultaneously trill out the tune to jingle bells.
Dani groaned loudly, dragging her feet.
"Someone just kill me now!" She shouted dramatically, her words echoing through the wooded area.

It seemed to take a moment for her words to sink in, for as soon as she had let out her shout all the birdsong had seemed to draw to a close, only eerie silence settling in.

I subconsciously moved closer to both her and Logan, my hand moving to the hilt of my knife.
We had thought we were alone out here... but what if we weren't?

A branch cracked nearby, making my heart pound furiously.

"Who's there?!" Dani called, stepping forward, jaw clenching.
I slowly unsheathed my knife and gestured for Logan to do the same, setting my hand gently on his arm once he had done so.

You know, to calm him down and stuff. I didn't want him to be scared. Yeah.

There was no reply to Dani's shouted question, only further cracking of sticks.
I couldn't quite pinpoint where the noise was coming from. The right? Left?
I didn't like this.

Than out of the woods came flying an object, it's metal blade reflecting the sunlight.
If it hadn't been for the slight whooshing of air as the knife flew through the air I wouldn't have known to duck.
And if I hadn't ducked there was a chance I would no longer be breathing.
