As if to prove the news reporter's point, the strange object began to faintly shine in the afterglow of atmospheric friction, an arc of light across the twilight sky.
"Earlier reports have claimed this missile appeared out of nowhere high in the sky, bursting into view at around 6:12 p.m. Central Time. Mistaken to be a star, we now know it is in fact a man-made, or at least artificial object."
"The Government has cleared the airspace to allow this object to pass on the account of it not being aimed at anything in particular. What function this literal "bullet to the moon" has, or what its purpose is is still unknown. Investigators are heading to the launch site, which is speculated to be somewhere in the Midwest."
