I stood there in shock. I had seen this dark knight on the news plenty of times, but never in person. His presence was intimidating, but nothing compared to the Joker.

"(Y/F/N) (Y/L/N). We need to talk." Batman grunted as he took another few steps into the light of the small living room. I fought the urge to back away. He was a good guy. Why did I feel so on edge tho?

"About what?" I stood up straighter and asked him. He stood a few feet from me. His eyes barely visible behind his mask. "Who is under there?" I wondered.

"Joker. Tell me where he is." He demanded in his gravely voice. I tilted my head to the side in confusion.

"I have no idea where he is. Last time I saw him was at the high school. If the cops didn't find him there then I have no idea where he'd be." I explained to him. I tried not to sound rude, but what made him think I'd know anything about the Joker's whereabouts? Was he considering me an accomplice as well? I answered all the questions and gave a statement at the police station so what was with this visit from Batman?

"What does he want?" He took another step towards me. I was getting tired of all these questions and his demanding tone. Can't a girl just sleep? I frowned.

"Listen, I don't know what he wants exactly. From my impression he just wanted to make his debut. The bank heists were just his opening act. I think you'll be seeing more of him. He didn't seem to be scared of you or anyone for that matter." I honestly told him. I was shocked to finally meet Batman, but the surprised quickly faded and I was left with a tired annoyance. I just wanted him to leave.

Batman grunted in return. He had no other response to my words. I sighed and plopped down into the armchair beside me. Batman stood there silently watching me.

"He may come for you. Don't wander the streets at night." Batman warned me as he walked towards the window. Was he seriously going to crawl out my apartment window and onto the fire escape? I guessed it would be odd for the Batman to take the elevator downstairs.

I appreciated his concern but I highly doubted I'd be seeing the Joker again. Although it would be good to see him again. Just for the fact that I could make another story of it. I mentally scolded myself for my paparazzi styled thoughts.

Batman effortlessly opened the small window and I momentarily wondered if he'd be able to fit through it. He looked back at me. I realized I hadn't responded to his warning.

"I wouldn't count on it, but thanks for the thought." I pulled myself up out of the armchair as Batman gracefully slipped through the window. He leaned down to say one more thing as I neared the window to close it behind him.

"If you come across him again, call the police first." He ordered me. I had my reasons for going public with my Joker experience first, but I wasn't about to waste my time trying to explain it to Batman. I'm sure neither of us wanted that. I gave him a nod before closing the window between us. When I looked up to meet his eyes he was already gone. Creepy.

For now it was bedtime though. The madness of today was finally taking its toll on my body. I couldn't bother to even change into my pajamas. I hastily tore off my clothes and just left myself with my underwear. I didn't care. I just needed sleep. I tore the covers off my bed and snuggled up under them. Before I let sleep consume me, I set an alarm on my phone for work tomorrow. I was out like a light within a minute.

The sunlight shone into my bedroom and I lazily turned over in bed. I was so comfortable. I squeezed my eyes shut tighter against the sunlight. I always kept my curtains drawn in my bedroom in case some pervert tried to catch a peek at me in the neighboring building. I was still half asleep so I mentally flipped through the previous day. I definitely didn't open the curtains. Had Batman opened them last night?
