(Y/N)'s POV
School was torture. Especially after the summer I'd had. My discovery of being a demigod was only the beginning. I made friends and had experiences I'm pretty positive I'll never forget. It all started back when Nico DiAngelo ran into me in Central Park. Literally. We fell and he quickly got up and helped me to my feet. The moment I was standing, Nico stared me down and all of a sudden we were enveloped in darkness. When the light returned, I found myself on a hill, overlooking a small town with buildings that looked strangely... greek. The rest was kind of a blur, being told I was a demigod and all that. Apparently, they told me, my mom knew of this, and so I was able to call her and tell her where I was. When the initial excitement died down, I made it clear to Nico that I was quite frustrated with him. Alright, he could be trusted, and my mom had known, but what if she hadn't? How can you take a girl away from home like that? Nico, being the way he is, apologized but remained stoic. At that moment, I realized that I'd need to get this boy to open up. I'd do it. I knew I would.
But unfortunately, at the moment, I was sitting in school, trying to pay attention. School ended and of course, came the usual pretty faces with way too much makeup to tell me about how much they hated me and how I'd never be pretty enough and never be good enough to get a boyfriend. That I'd be alone forever, blah, blah, blah. But today... I heard a deep voice scold the girls.
"Too ugly to get a boyfriend?" They swooned, clearly finding this boy attractive. I wasn't even going to bother looking. "Then explain to me how she has me, hmm?" The boy wrapped an arm around me. I looked up, and froze in my tracks.
"Percy?" He winked at me.
"Yeah, (y/n), I came to drive you home," he smiled and led me away from the group of hormonal girls. Percy's face got serious and his step more brisk. Quickly, we walked out of the school and into my car. The genius got the idea he'd be driving my new car, so he stepped into the driver's seat.
"What are you doing?" I asked him, hands on my hips. He rolled his eyes and sighed dramatically.
"Fine!" He hesitantly got out and made his way to the passenger's side. "But step on it, because it's important." I raised an eyebrow at him, starting the car.
"What could possibly be so important that you had to come pick me up from school for it, Jackson?" He kept his mouth shut, trying not to tell me, but it refused to leave the parking lot unless he told me.
"It's... Nico's back..." And with that, I took off, a little faster than I should have.

We arrived at camp in a few hours, but before the sunset. I parked my car on the shoulder and ran up Half-Blood Hill, Percy struggling to keep up with me.
"Gods," he yelled at me, between pants, "did," *pant*, "you," *pant* "join," *pant* "the," *pant* "track, *pant* "team?" I laughed and yelled back to him.
"Yes, actually," and Percy shut up until we reached the Hades cabin. I didn't stop there, I burst through the door, shocking Nico as I barged in.
He hardly had time to see who was coming when I tackled him in a hug. Luckily for Nico's amazing reflexes, we didn't topple over when I jumped on him, legs around his torso. He caught me and waited for me to get down. when I finally did, he looked very confused.
