"So, do all of your plan to evade the patrols involve long cloaks and masks, or is it just this one?"

Ezra and Kara stood against an alley wall, hidden by the shadows. Kara was peering around a corner, her hand resting on the handle of her blaster.

"You'd be surprised how often it works." She whispered back.

Kara's plan ended up involving disguises, much to Ezra's suprise. According to her, the Empire was on the lookout for Ezra, who was infamous to the Empire and had his face plastered on Wanted posters everywhere, and using the cloaks and masks were the best way at covering their tracks and keeping the Empire from realizing who they were. Better they chalk off whatever scheme Kara had planned as a pair of strangers to the Empire than spot the Jedi and the girl who'd taken down a squadron of Stormtroopers.

"What are we waiting for exactly?" Ezra tried to peer around the corner, but Kara's arm went out to hold him back, pushing both of them into the shadows as a cruiser hovered by on the main street.

Kara pulled Ezra down into a crouch, using her free hand to pull the mask down. "We're waiting for our ride. But that means we have to stay hidden. If they know we're here, our ambush goes out the window." She turned to check behind her as she spoke.

"Ambush?" Ezra hissed. "You never said anything about an ambush. I thought this was a stealth mission!"

"It is...to an extent." Kara pinched her brow, closing her eyes and letting out a breath. "Listen, I know it's not perfect, but it's our best shot at getting you out of here. I need you to trust me, Ez." She opened her eyes an looked at him. "Please."

Ezra sighed. "Okay, I trust you." He conceded. "But can you please fill me in on the plan?"

Kara nodded, peering around the corner again, before turning back. "Once every hour, the Empire sends out single-trooper patrols on hoverbikes to check on this area. There's only one per sector, so if we take his bike and disable his comm, it'll be at least an hour before they've dispatched reinforcements to find us, and by then we'll be long gone."

"Wow, that's..."

"Smart?" Kara glanced back at him. "Incredible? The best plan you've ever heard?"

"You took the words right out of my mouth." Ezra smirked, and Kara let out a quiet laugh. She looked at Ezra for a moment, their eyes briefly locked, before she turned away and checked her watch.

"Alright, the hoverbike should be here any second." Kara peered around the corner again. "Stay sharp."

Ezra could hear the hum of the hoverbike grow closer. The engine on this one was quieter than his bike back on the Ghost, which meant it was one of the newer models. The newer models were faster, more agile, and would get them out of the city in no time. She really thought this through, Ezra thought.

Kara and Ezra pressed into the shadows as the hoverbike slowly flew past. Kara reached into her pocket, pulling out a small pebble. Ezra gave her a confused look, and Kara only winked.

The trooper had hovered a few feet away from their hiding spot, and Kara tossed the pebble across the way, hitting the side of a trash can, which made a loud clanging sound through the street. The trooper halted the bike, looking in the direction of the noise, and Ezra watched him dismount the bike, his blaster aimed at the trash can.
