THE PLANET OFLORIX IS A BEAUTIFUL PLANET LOCATED IN THE ASTERIA GALAXY. Lorix is the size of Jupiter, a planet located in the Milky Way Galaxy. It's warm during the days with its four suns, and chilly during the night with three moons and a freckled dark sky with bright stars.
The seaside city is built of stone, perfect to keep homes cool during warm days and warm during cold days. There are markets on the streets with many stalls selling all sorts, from food to clothes. An array of languages is spoken by travelers and natives of Lorix.
At the bottom of the stone steps in a semi-crowded alley, sat a girl with shoulder-length brown hair, milky eyes, tattered brown clothes and a brown wooden bowl in her hands which she holds up when she hears people walking by. Some generous people placed a coin in the bowl and walked away.
"Thank you" she softly spoke and went back to listening to the sounds, close and far.
She can hear the voices of the people standing just around the wall she's leaning on, she can hear the footsteps of people going up and down the steps. The laughs of children playing in a street, a woman selling food from a cart, the sound of ship bells at the harbor bouncing off the stone walls, she can hear the splashes of the ocean waves. The sounds are both loud and soft at the same time. But Noa can hear them clear as day, each and every sound.
"Are you listening blind girl?" A monotonous voice pulled Noa out of her trance. She blinked and looked up where the voice is coming from.
If Noa could see, she would see that the person has smooth lavender skin, wide vibrant purple eyes, long wavy dark hair fading into purple -matching her eyes- and freckles across her nose and cheeks in the shape of constellations.
"Do you hear them talking? Do any of them talk to you? No. So sad" Julith is holding two large sticks in her hands. She held one out hovering over Noa's hands on her lap and she let it drop over the wooden bowl, causing Noa to drop it and all the coins spilled over the stone ground. Noa held the stick in her hands but she didn't make a move. Julith took notice of this and hit her on the arm with the stick. Noa grunted. "Stand and fight blind girl" Julith taunted.
Noa stood up and held the stick in her hands. She slowly moved around, a look of fear on her face. "I can't see" she softly said, her voice cracking a little at the end.
"That's your problem, not mine" Julith smirked before she hit the back of Noa's ankle. She grunted and nearly fell to her knees but managed to steady herself and pull herself up. She then took a swing at the direction she felt the blow come from but Julith quickly moved out of the way.
Julith jabbed the end of the stick in Noa's stomach and then hit her on her right thigh bringing her down. Noa stood up as quickly as she fell, raised the stick over her head and brought it down. Julith took a step sideways and then moved in front of Noa, slapping the left side of her face with the stick and then the right side. At this point, beggars were staring and people that we're walking by stopped and watched a blind girl receiving a painful beating.
