My Life as an Upcoming Star with a Couple Setbacks {ft. Fifth Harmony}

Chapter 5

It was a Tuesday night and all the girls of Fifth Harmony were watching a movie, it must've been around 2 in the morning because they had the week off from work. They had ordered pizza and loads of food but beforehand had dropped Jessica off at her house. It was really the perfect evening because they haven't had much time to just relax but then the phone rang.

*Lauren's Pov*

The phone started to ring and four other pairs of eyes looked at me expecting me to get up, reluctantly I dragged myself of the couch and picked up the phone but as soon as I saw who's name was on the caller ID I started to panic. Quickly I answered while the girls looked at me worriedly and the first thing I heard at the other end of the line were heavy sobs.

{L- Lauren
J- Jessica}

L- Jess love, what's wrong are you okay? (I mentally scolded myself, of coarse she's not okay.)

J- N-No c-can you p-please pick me u-up now. P-please h-hurry please! (She managed to choke out.)

L- I'm on my way, are you hurt? Baby please tell me what happened!?

J- Just p-please hurry b-before he come b-back

L- I'm almost there stay on the phone with me sweetie okay I'm not going anywhere

During the time span of the phone call I was imagining everything that could've possible gone wrong. Ally hopped in the drivers seat with Normani in the passengers side, Camila Dinah and I were in the back.

As we got to her house I ran out of the car while the others stayed behind ready to rush off as soon as we got her safe. She was on the grass in front of her house with sobs wracking through her body shaking it violently, her back had blood seeping through the shirt staining it. I picked her up and she instantly clinged onto my shirt like her life depended on it and I ran to the car and hopped in with her in my lap.

"Jess baby please can you tell me what happened?" I cooed.

"Can I p-please t-tomorrow, I-I'm tired and I j-just want to g-go to s-sleep. I promise t-tomorrow I w-will." she pleaded.

"Okay, alright shh calm down it's okay you're safe now. No ones gonna hurt you, we love you, shhh." I whispered in her ear while we drive through the night. She eventually calmed down and only had a few silent tears fall down her face, I wiped them away with my thumbs and we eventually arrived home. I mouthed to the girls that I would take care of it and we can talk in the morning, they all nodded and gave Jess a kiss on the forehead before heading to bed.

"After I clean you up, you're gonna stay with me okay?" I asked.

She nodded and I carried her upstairs into the bathroom, I sat her on the counter and she looked at me, within those eyes you could tell she was broken inside and I gave her quick hug and kids on the forehead.

"I need you to take off your shirt for me okay love, I need to be able to clean up your cuts on your back so they don't get infected and then we can go to sleep alright?" I asked hesitantly with my voice filled with love. She started shaking her head violently and and more tears streamed down her face.

"Hey it'll be okay I promise, you know you can trust me and you know I will never judge you but you have to let me see okay?" She nodded and I continued to whisper sweet things in her ear while I slowly pulled her shirt over her head.

The first thing I noticed was how thin she was, you could see her rub age clearly. Then when I turned her around I saw her back, where God knows what made these marks. It took every inch of power in me not to breakdown into tears because of the pain this port child must've gone through to get these many cuts and scars. They coved up her back as well as bruises and other deformities that have been made there. I grabbed a warm washcloth and told her it might sting a little so I gave her my other hand to squeeze, I started to clean her up and I did my best to cover the open wounds with some gauze and medical tape.

Eventually I had finished answer her on the ground, I grabbed her hand and walked her into my room.

"I don't have anything that will come close to fitting you so I will give you a long t-shirt to sleep in and you can sleep in just that and your undergarments if you'd like? It will go down to about your knees this that okay?" I asked gently.

She nodded her head and didn't bother to go into the bathroom to change because she was already in just her underwear and pants which had been stained with blood, not to sound perverted in any way I'm guessing she had gone through so much physical abuse it sounded her growing and the growth of her womanly parts because she didn't even need to wear a bra she was so flat chested.

By the time she had changed I led her to the bed and got under the covers with her snuggled up to me, I wrapped my arms around her protectively. I kissed the top of her head and said

"I don't care how old you are, I will protect you no matter what happens. I know we haven't known each other for that long but from the first day I laid eyes on you I knew you were going to be a special part of my life and I want you to know that we love you."

She whispered back "I know I love you too, thank you for everything you've done for me." and with that she fell asleep. My heart melted with her words and I had o mentally prepare myself for the emotional roller coaster that would soon be called tomorrow.
