With heroic hearts and a noble promise, a knight's duty is to protect its people from any danger. This shall be their obligation despite any contingency and without being clouded by the reward put on the table.

"Unite The Noble Three and inform them of the task. I'll trust you to appease the minds of the town's people" spoke the head of the guards.

"Yes ma'am, my mission I shall complete successfully. Leave it in our hands" replied Simon with a confident look and strong eyes.

His superior left the room and he got right to work. He sent for his teammates to be called and have a meeting so they could discuss the task at hand.

"The beast of Fordwich? What exactly do you mean?" Inquired Iria.

"You haven't heard of the myth?" spoke Felix in disbelief. Simon stood up from his seat at the front of the long wooden table as he began to clarify his partner's doubts. "The myth of the Fordwich beast... Or rather 'The Whisperer' as the town's people call it. It is said that every 3 nights when the stars are shining bright and the moon lights up the darkness, several whispers can be heard, getting closer and closer to the houses' doors. They are loud enough to hear clearly, but cannot be understood or deciphered. These whispers are thought to come from a beast looking for its prey. They say it walks up to the houses' front doors and mumbles continuously for several seconds, and then it walks away steadily back deep into the forest that neighbors the village. However, if the whisperer catches you, it will tear apart both your arms and both your legs in one grasp, as it gouges out your eyeballs with its dirty claws. It haunts the small village of Fordwich. They hang ragdolls on their front doors. These had no eyes, arms or legs. That is their offering to this monster, and it has become their tradition."

The Noble Three head out on their mission to the village of Fordwich and see with their own eyes the evil that manifests in this town. To their arrival, all of the people's hearts that inhabit this area are filled with hope and a sense of salvation. For their heroes have arrived, the ones who will slay their wrongdoer.

"Oh! The heroes have arrived!" "We're saved!" "They will free us from the whispers!" they all screamed in joy as the heroes gladly took their words of praise with heads held high.

"Welcome to our little town, it's an honor to have the noble three aid us in our times of need" speaks a young woman while bowing at the three knights.

"Oh please, it is our duty to protect our people, both from the capitol as well as the surrounding towns" responds Felix.

"We are in debt to you and will reward you with all the gold we've been able to collect. My name is Christine. please let me take you to our town's elder, follow me this way" spoke the girl as she led the way for the knights.

"This is our town's elder and sage, Frederick Steinhart" Christine opened the door to the small, quaint room and left the knights with the elder.

"Welcome to Fordwich, noble heroes, we don't have much, especially compared to the capitol, but please make yourselves at home. I am the sage of this village" welcomed the old man as he served cups of tea for the three cavaliers.

"Thank you, sir. We've come at your request to rid the town of evil. Could you tell us more about this 'whisperer' as your people call it?" asks Iria as she takes a sip of tea from the warm cup.

"Yes, the whisperer. It's a horrible demon that stalks our doors during the dark every 3 nights, I'm sure you've heard. I've had the fear that it will take and tear apart my people. It started one cold morning when I woke up abruptly from a vision, that it'd come and rid the town of all life, I had heard the whispers since several nights before, and that gave me the last warning. In order to protect my children, no one is allowed to come out of the houses past nightfall during those nights that bring terror." stated the old man with a look of grieve in his eyes. He then reached underneath the table and pulled out a big satchel full of gold nuggets and coins. The old man told the knights that this would be their reward if they kill the beast and free the town. The knights reassured the sage that they would accomplish his request with ease and they left the elder's hut.
