1)Title =9.2/10
The title is attractive and I liked it. You can tell that the book is dealing with fantasy and adventure by its title.
2) Cover =8.5/10
I loved the cover. The colors and editing are praiseworthy. A reader gets a quick insight into the book by the cover. I would just advise the writer to put his name above the book. It looks more presentable.
3)Story plot=6.5/10
I understood the story plot and so far within 4 parts excluding the prologue, the plot can be seen being build up. However, it is difficult for me to judge on just 5 parts where, not much about the school, or the narrator herself has been written. The writer is advised to build up the story plot little by little, possibly quick.
4) Grammar &Writing style=6.8/10
There is too much use of dialogues. When the writer is using the voice of the protagonist, then he should also put forward more of the characters' thoughts and movement. There a few grammatical mistakes, just minors. The writer is advised to rectify the above-mentioned problem.
5)Character development=5.4/10
Based on the five parts written so far, character development is poor. First of all, there isn't even a small introduction of the protagonist. Being a reader myself, I didn't understand the narrator well. I would advise the writer to give an introduction even if it is not much. Better to add it at the very end of the protagonist. That should do it.
6)Setting =4.3/10
The writer has not described well about the setting of the book or even the scenes. This affects the story plot as well. Hence he is advised to add in the settings.
7) Point of view= (---)
I am not sure about the use of POVs as I haven't seen them yet in the book.
8) Theme = 7.8/10
The theme is Fantasy. And I can say the writer keeping that in mind has highlighted it in his five parts. What surprised me was the addition of pirates. You don't normally get to see that in wizardry books. I feel it is a lot similar to the HARRY POTTER series. However, the writer is warned not to copy that and keep his book solely of his own creation.
9) Literary Devices = 6.3/10
Not much is used in terms of literacy devices. The writer is advised to add in metaphors, simile or other devices whatever he feels appropriate.
10)Overall enjoyment =8/10
Reading just five parts of this book, I have enjoyed it. I have mentioned above the flaws and hope to see the improvement. Hope to read more from the reader.
Therefore, I give this book a rating of 8/10.
