~*It's Not Like That, Okay?!*~ (Mondo Owada X Kiyotaka Ishimaru)

chapter 5: I-if this isnt a date.. what is it?

Ishimaru and mondo set off on their journey to find something to do, since Tokyo  didn't have that much to do (don't judge me I have no idea what I'm gonna write-)
"so, Ishimaru..... t-this may be bad for me to say but... how long has your family been like that.?" Mondo looked at Ishimaru with a curious look. Ishimaru sighed.
"its been about a year since my dad has started drinking, ever since my dad found out my mum was cheating on him because she didn't think he was a good dad for me and my little sister... ever since then... my mum has been a house slave, doing all the work with no rest as a punishment, my dad stays in his room all day drinking besides when someones important is over, like a business meeting for him, and I am like a father for my little sister... it isn't fun, but my parents aren't good enough for having an amazing daughter, so that's why she's staying with Aoi and Sakura, so she has a good childhood and not raised in a hellhole.. oh, I'm sorry, I've been blabbering this whole time, sorry.. w-where are we gonna go today...?" Ishimaru looked ap at Mondo.
mondo wanted to continue that conversation, but decided not to, as to not make Ishimaru cry. he sighed, and shrugged. "where do you wanna go?" 
"uh... anywhere, I guess..."
"how about.. uh... the arcade?" mondo pushed up his pompadour. Ishimaru's face lit up with excitement. 
"I love arcades! let's go!" Ishimaru grabbed Mondo's hand and ran to the arcade. his mood had completely changed, from sad to happy in a split second.

when they arrived, Ishimaru instantly dove into his wallet, pulling out his spare change and sliding it into the slot for tokens. Mondo watched as he did so, a small smile taking place across his face, blush following along soon after. he imagined them together, them having a great life together, living together, loving together. he was taken out of his thought my Ishimaru pulling to a claw machine, giving him 3 of the 6 tokens he had.
"you have a try, Mondo!" he smiled and pointed to the claw machine.
"eh, why not?" he slid the token into the machine, it lights blaring instantly. he took hold of the joystick and started moving it to one of the plush's inside- a white puppy plush, with fluffy fur attached to it. he knew the plushes were shit quality, but he didn't care. he pressed the button to drop it and on his second try...

...

he got the puppy! he was happy he got it, he initially was going to give it to Ishimaru, and he still was going to. he grabbed it out of the dispenser, its fur getting all over him instantly. he looked at Ishimaru, who was smiling for him.
"yay, you got it!" he did sound slightly disappointed. Mondo instantly gave him the plush. 
"h-here, you can have it, I don't really like the placement of the eyes.." the eyes were placed on an angle, yes, but so was the whole head.
"r-really? thank you, Mondo!" Ishimaru hugged him, taking the puppy plush.

after a few hours at the arcade, they went somewhere where they could relax- the park. Ishimaru was on a swing hanging off a cherry blossom tree atop a hill, and Mondo was sitting against that tree, watching Ishimaru. he was taking care of Pebbles, the white puppy plush.
"h-hey Mondo, I have a question.." he jumped off the swing and sat next to Mondo, taking the plush. Mondo blushed.
"y-yes?"
"i-is this a date..?" Ishimaru looked away as he said the last word, blushing. mondo looked at him surprised.
"n-no.. I promise.." he placed a hand on Ishimaru's shoulder.
"b-but.. if this isn't a date.. what i-is it?" Ishimaru looked at him, a deep red across his face.
"its.. um.. it's just two bro's hanging out!" Mondo smiled. Ishimaru soon smiled after him.
"Thanks for being my first friend, Mondo.. everyone usually makes fun of me, but you're.. different.." they both stared into the eyes of each other, inching closer and closer to each other until...
...Ishimaru's phone went off, the both of them darting back and Ishimaru answering his phone. 
after a few minutes, Ishimaru hung up. "sorry Mondo, my dad wants me home... I'm sorry we couldn't spend more time with eachother.." he stood up, Mondo straight away after. "do you want me to walk you home?" he smiled, and Ishimaru smiled.
"sure, thanks!"
as they walked home, Ishimaru kept hugging the plush and talking to mondo, them talking about a variety of topics. they soon arrived at Ishimaru's home.
"see you tomorrow, Mondo!" Ishimaru smiled and walked up to the porch.
"yeah bro, see ya!" mondo waved goodbye as he entered his house, then walked to his own house.

Ishimaru's father was waiting for Ishimaru. "so, who gave you the stupid dog toy?" was all he said.
"m-my friend.. and it's not stupid!" he defended the plush that mondo lovingly gave him. Ishimaru's father sighed. "sure, get to your room runt." as Ishimaru passed him, he slapped the back of his head.
Ishimaru headed to his room, and when he arrived he layed on his bed and cried. he was meant to be studying, but he just cried. soon, he fell asleep, hugging Pebbles.
