A lucid dream is a dream during which the dreamer is aware that they are dreaming. During a lucid dream, the dreamer may gain some amount of control over the dream characters, narrative, and environment. For people who experience lucid dreaming, the goal is being able to do whatever you want to do and be whoever you want to be within a lucid dream

A regular dream is like watching a movie play out in front of you. A lucid dream is like being an active participant in that movie.
