"that's fifty out of fifty!" hinata says while panting.

"alright. you won this time." i chuckle.

"yo, are you two actually still into the race thing? you know, we should always conserve our energy for practice and official matches." tanaka-san says.

i've heard those words from every single one of our teammates at least over a thousand times, but guess what, both hinata and i aren't listening. it's just too hard for us to stop competing. we're rivals, after all.

"you two are early as always." sugawara-san says, smiling.

"good morning." hinata and i greet.

"good morning. are you ready for early morning training today?" daichi-san greets, which made hinata nod happily.

as our team captain was unlocking the gymnasium, we heard the voice of a teammate. seems like nishinoya-san.

"you're looking for kageyama, right? he's right there. the one with the tall figure and black hair. go on and approach him." we all heard.

"well, it seems like kageyama has a visitor." daichi-san says as he opened the gymnasium.

"oi, kageyama! this girl's looking for you."

as nishinoya-san said those words, i looked at her, and god, i almost didn't recognize her. maybe it's because of the changes of her appearance.

"hey, tobio-kun. it's been a while." she smiles, making all of us just stare at her.

that voice of hers is soothing as always, unlike her older brother's.

"kageyama, is she your girlfriend?" hinata, smirking, which made me smile at him demonically and tilted my head sidewards.

"i was just kidding please forgive me!" he apologizes, bowing many times with his hands together.

"hey. i almost didn't recognize you. why such a long hair?" i ask, standing up.

"nii-san wanted me to have longer hair than before, so here i am." she chuckles.

"hey, mind introducing this beautiful lady to us, kageyama?" sugawara-san asks with his usual sweet smile.

"uh, okay. this is Reo. she's my childhood friend and she's oikawa-san's little sis–"

"the grand king has a little sister!?" hinata shrieks.

"shut up, idiot." i say, rolling my eyes.

"oh, i've heard things about you. how come you chose karasuno? Weren't you from shiratorizawa?" daichi-san asks, making everyone else's jaw drop to the floor.

"nii-san wanted me to transfer out of that school, which i complied to." she explains shortly with a smile.

"you're from shiratorizawa!? cool! maybe the grand king made you transfer out because ushiwaka treats you poorly?" hinatabasks, making me smack the back of his head.

"actually, shiratorizawa's volleyball club is treating me well, i mean, i am their former co-manager, so it's not a big deal." reo says with no pride at all.

"cool!" nishinoya-san and hinata says in unison.

"well, we're glad to have you aboard here in karasuno. we're hoping that you enjoy your high school life here." daichi-san says with a smile.

i smile secretly. i knew they are going to accept her like any other student.

what was i worried for? knowing reo, all of us will surely get along.
