Hey! How did your tutoring session with Barbie go?" Hannah asks in her slightly high pitched voice.

"Hey, don't call her that. She's actually really nice," Tyler defends Violet. They had had about 4 sessions now and she is finally showing signs of improvement.

"Oh whatever. She's a bimbo, and you know it," Hannah rolls her eyes. Tyler finds it adorable when Violet rolls her eyes but now, seeing Hannah do it, it makes him want to bang his head against the table.

"You don't even know her," Tyler starts, and is thankfully interrupted when the teacher walks in and begins his lecture.

Tyler gets his lunch and walks towards his usual lunch table. As he passes Violet's table, she nods at him. He nods back, unsure if she was nodding at him or someone behind him. With his impeccable luck, it was probably someone behind him. But he'll never find out because that's when Hannah decides to pull him over to their table.

"What do you wanna do this weekend?" Hannah ask when they sit down. She always finds a way to trap him into hanging out with him on the weekend.

"Maybe just lounge around or hang out with Skylar, nothing big," Tyler answers trying to show her he doesn't want to do whatever she's about to ask him to do.

Tyler nods and inwardly sighs, "Yeah, we might can."

Tyler was standing outside Violet's door once again. He knocked, and waited anxiously with his backpack. The door swung open to reveal Violet in shorts and a tank top, with her hair in a bun, and her makeup had obviously been washed off. He stood there staring at her, a bit shocked to see her with such a different look.

"Are you just gonna stand there or are you gonna come in?" She snapped. Oh no. Tyler was about to witness an angry Violet Summers.

"R.. Right. Okay," Tyler stumbles over his words. He keeps glancing over at her because no matter how dressed down she is, compared to her usual perfectly applied makeup, he still couldn't help but find her beautiful.

She led him up to her room, and they took their usual seating - her on the bed, him in the desk chair.

"Chapter 6," she muttered and turned to that chapter in her textbook.

"Is everything okay?"

"Do me a favor, and mind your own damn business," Violet snapped at him once again.

"Okay, okay. Rational functions."

"I have a big test Monday. Do you mind coming over tomorrow and going over it with me a few more times?" Violet asked him.

"Of course, no problem," he smiled at her. Once they started to work a bit, Violet's mood became a bit better. After they had finished with the homework, Tyler got on his bike and let the thoughts of her plague him once again.

"Did you do well on the chemistry test, Ty?" His mother asks warmly. They were sitting at the dinner table, and Mrs. Elliot was asking about everyone's day.

"I think I did. Hannah said she got a different answer than I did on one of the problems, so I'm worried about that, but other than that, I supposed I did well," he smiles at his mother.

"That's great, how was your day, Skylar?" Mrs. Elliot smiles at her oldest.

"Fine, I guess."

Tyler had always been the one to actually tell the truth when his mom asked him things. Skylar is his exact opposite. She parties, is a cheerleader, and never tries as hard as Tyler does.
