Landon and Kyler sat at the dining room table. They were both on their phones, not looking at each other. But they simultaneously looked up at the door when Preston came in with a puppy in his hands.
"You have a puppy?!" Landon got up and went over to Preston and stole the puppy out of his hands. He dropped to the floor and pet it and rubbed its stomach. His big eyes stared at Landon and his soft fur was the color of cinnamon. Kyler stood by and watched Landon play. Preston joined him. The puppy jumped on Landon and licked all over his face. "Help!" He playfully called as he rolled onto his back with a giggle.
Kyler looked at the little dimple Landon had when he smiled. The cute laugh when he giggled, and the way his hair got messed up when he fell backwards. After seeing that, Kyler could feel his heart inside his chest.
"He is so adorable," Kyler chuckled, biting his lip.
"He is," Preston said as he admired the puppy.
Kyler glanced at Preston with a confused look but decided not to get into it. He returned his gaze to Landon and his cheeks reddened.
"Stop looking at me and come play!" Landon called without looking up.
Preston laughed and joined him on the floor. Kyler followed with a happy sigh. Cute.
