I don't recall the context behind this poem whatsoever, but according to my docs, my last edit of it was Oct 7 2017 meaning I probably wrote it in the months before that. Anyways, tell me what emotions are invoked by the poem. Happy reading.
I cry
For the people who go through physical pain,
For the people who go through emotional pain,
For the people who go through mental pain,
And for those who experience all three
So strongly,
They are brought to their knees.
I cry
For those who feel helpless
In changing what their life has become;
Who feel as if
The world would be a better one
If they were gone.
I cry
For those who have the ability
To change outcomes
But are stuck
Waiting
"'Til the right time comes."
I cry
For those who feel that they are alone
In this painfully beautiful world
That we call home.
I cry
For nations around our planet
Fighting as though the devil planned it
Killing fellow humans and themselves
To satisfy the thirst of nations
As far away as other realms.
I cry
For the elderly
For adults
For youth
For teens
For children
For infants.
I cry
For people
Like me.
