These two poems I actually wrote on March 15 2020. They were to help my sister for her school project ( I just hope she doesn't get in trouble for having me basically write one of the poems for her). I also started writing a free verse the following day, but it is currently incomplete. Honestly I forgot about it until right now (10:40 pm on March 17). I will complete it and post it whenever it is complete, no matter what poem is ahead in line to be published first.
So both of the poems are limericks (5 lines, quite short); the first is called Leach for a reason you will understand once you read it, The second one is called Progress1 because I have the distinct feeling I will probably write more poetry about progress somewhere in the near future, as these are trying times for me right now. My question to you is can you tell me what the second poem is about?
Existence is quite bleak,
'Tis so hard to be unique
When daily there's no colour
No pretty smells from a flower.
The soul starves and is made weak.

Stella Steadily stood
glanced at what was left of her food.
She shut down the crippling urge
To "treat" herself to a purge.
Her recovery was going good.
