wish

i wish we could all just get along

which seems cliche now that it's on the page

but I wish we could all just understand

that we're all in this together

and we're all alike and the same and so familiar,

human and flawed and doing our best

to breathe and think as clearly as this world permits

and some can do it better than others

but the least we can do is understand.
