MinHye's POV
Walking down the corridors where Minah and Sojin walked right behind me, everyone in the halls split in half, stepping aside giving us our path. I sighed as I hated this kind of treatment, but I held in a straight face as I walked with my chin high.
"Don't look down! You're one of the Park's now!"
"One more time I catch you looking down, you'll receive 20 hits."
Keep my head high.
Keep it high.
"You know MinHye, that Jimin dude over there is totally checking you out." Minah said, grabbing my arm. I looked over and saw my cousin who was leaning beside my locker, smirking at me.
"He's my cousin, Minah. Open your eyes." I said, chuckling humorlessly, walking towards him.
"Move." I plainly said with Minah and Sojin discreetly checking him out. "Please?"
"Why are you so grumpy, couz?" he scoffed, shaking his head. "Mother wanted me to give this to you." He said, handing me over some pile of papers. "Check it out. It's the review for the companies who wants to do a collaboration with ours. We're the ones assigned in this project. I've split the papers already. I'll take these and here's yours. Okay?" he said, showing his own pile of papers.
I sighed inwardly as I took the papers, shoving it into my lockers.
"I'll check it when I get home. School itself is troubling me already." I rolled my eyes.
"What? The top 1 student of the elite section is failing?" he asked in disbelief.
"No, but I want to sleep during class." I shrugged closing my lockers as he chuckled.
"Your confidence is way up now couz." He smirked, with him only knowing the truth behind the statement and no one else.
"I have something to be confident about." I shrugged, walking away as Minah and Sojin waved at him cutely.
Minah and Sojin were there since I entered this school. As soon as they knew I was a Park, they immediately had me in the elite class and Minah and Sojin were the person I should be friends with, so they say and now here we are. We've always hanged out, but we never really talked about who we really were. We were the Minhye, Minah and Sojin that were heirs of some big companies, having all the pressure of everyone looking up at us so we shouldn't mess up. We've never opened up to each other. It's like as if we hang out just not to be labeled as the loners of the school. Sure we talk here and there, but not the way where you can actually be yourself when you're with your real friends. It's different.
Everything was, ever since that incident happened.
I became a Park. I became a different person.
"Ugh." Minah grumbled behind me.
"What is it?" I asked alongside Sojin.
"Nothing. Stupid Family." She muttered.
See? Told you so.
As we entered the class room, we took our seats and the teacher came in, feeling intimidated as we turn our gazes to her. She took a deep breath to compose herself before doing the introduction.
"I'm Min Miji and I will be your home room adviser for your senior year." She said, placing her things down as she adjusted her eye glasses, now matching the level of intimidation as we first imposed on her. Not a second after, the door swung opened and revealed our classmate covered in kiss marks as his first 3 buttons was undone. Other girls squealed seeing him but I just shook my head as I sighed.
