After Jason left last night it took me hours to fall asleep. It was horrible. My phone kept going off and I felt the urge to throw it away, it was way to early for me to get up. I ignored it until the seventh time remembering Rain must start to be worrying about me not picking up.

"Hello?" I said my eyes still closed lying under my covers.

"Want to hang?" She simply asked. "Not right now I'm tired." I mumbled.

"Oh, what did you do last night?" Her tone was mocking and I rolled my eyes. "Nothing just couldn't sleep." I lied. I never lie. I felt a little uneasy but what mostly scared me was that it came out so naturally.

"Alright I'll pick up dinner on the way and see you around seven then," She ended the call and I continued sleeping. After a couple more hours my body woke up and I decided to get ready. Putting on a short summery flower dress I started feeling like myself again.

"I got us Chinese from this new place nearby." Rain said putting the bags on my table. I sat myself down and smelled the delicious food in front of me.

"Smells amazing." She smiled filling up her plate. "Did you do anything interesting yesterday?" I asked, she shrugged,

"Just working at the store and sleeping on time for a change." She winked at me, "How about you?" I shrugged,

"Met up with the guys at the skate park but I left pretty quick because I forgot to do groceries." I smiled awkwardly hoping she fell for me being clumsy. She did. Rain laughed and continued eating.

"Want to go to the stairs tonight?" I smiled at her and nodded. "I miss dancing with you." I replied and I could use a distraction...

I decided not to change and keep my flower dress on. I liked the fit and it was comfortable.

"Are we meeting Parker and Bodhi tonight?" I asked Rain. "Probably, I haven't made plans but I'm sure they'll be there." I grabbed my purse and put on an oversized jean jacket for when it gets cold on the way back.

It was close to midnight, Rain and I had a few glasses of wine at my cabin and we were ready to dance. I was so thankful to have a friend like Rain she always made me forget about my life back home and enjoy every single moment of being with her.

"Does this dress show too much?" Rain asked me once we got up the stairs and left our jackets at the wardrobe.

"Yes." I stated looked at the peach colored dress being too short on her body and sticking to all the right curves, she looked amazing.

"Perfect." She almost purred and looked at me seductively making it known what her intensions were. I shook my head and giggled.

"Two beers!" I yelled over at the bar, the crowd was getting full and everyone was talking loudly over the music.

The guy behind the bar nodded and handed me two glasses. I walked in the crowd trying to find Rain. Everyone was hot and I could feel the music vibrate through my body. Rain waved at me way over the other side of the room, I could see Parker and Bodhi joining her.

"Hey guys!" I yelled over the loud music. Parker and Bodhi gave me a hug and went to get their own drinks. I handed Rain her beer as we continued dancing. I saw Rain looking over my shoulder from time to time probably looking for potential hook ups.

I grabbed her hand and pulled her close while we swayed to the rhythm. I knew Rain better than she knew herself and she couldn't be with another guy when her and Parker haven't cleared things up. Speaking of the devil,

"We're going to have a smoke." Parker said coming up to me. I nodded watching while they left. Rain tugged at my hand, "I'm going to pee." She called letting go of me and also disappearing into the crowd.

Standing alone in a sea full of dancing body's felt overwhelming once again. When I'm with people I trust I'm fine but at moments like this it can get really hard for me. I decided to focus on the music closing my eyes for a second.

When I opened them I saw Jason walking through the crowd. My breath got stuck in my throat, it was almost as if everyone stepped aside for him.

He moved so steadily only focusing on what's in front of him. His hair was wild and fell into his face and I felt like I was watching him in slow motion.

He wore a striped shirt and light washed jeans making him look effortless. I licked my bottom lip breathing deeply through my nose.

"Keep yourself together." I said to myself. Rain returned which was a huge relief to have someone beside me again. I tried to focus as little on Jason as I could and fully on Rain.

"Have you seen Parker and Bodhi yet?" Rain asked me. I shook my head looking around me, they had been gone quite some time.

After about two more songs we decided to go outside and see if we could find the boys. I held onto Rain as we went down the stairs.

Feeling the cold air on my skin I held on to my bag tightly watching the view in front of me. I heard Rain gasp and watched how Parker got hit by Jason. My mouth was agape and I struggled to find my words or actions.

How did this happen and who do I help?

"Parker!" Rain screamed, I grabbed her arm when she wanted to go to him but it was too dangerous. I don't know Jason and I don't know what he is capable of.

I frowned my hands turning into fists. Parker had now thrown some punches towards Jason and his friends held Bodhi so he couldn't help Parker.

"Stop." I mumbled softly my voice returning to me. "Stop!" I yelled out finally.

Jason looked up at me, his cheek was bleeding and his hair was wet sticking to his face.

"Get Parker." I murmured to Rain who didn't need to be told twice. Jason let go of Parker motioning towards Ace and Joaquin to let go of Bodhi. Rain and Bodhi both fell onto Parker looking if he was alright.

Jason just looked at me, he was surprised I was there and I bit my lip. Help Parker, help Parker my mind kept telling me.

Ace andJoaquin went back inside and Jason spit out some blood before turning away and walking towards the boulevard. I looked back at Parker who got carried inside by rain and Bodhi, both not noticing me.

Feeling a lump in my stomach I followed Jason.
